Hostel PA'GAÏA — Hotel in Antioquia

Went there spontaneously by car with a friend, as I saw it was available on booking with parking - for a fair price and the place looked beautiful and great reviews. We found a closed gate at 7pm and followed the signs to pa' Gaia, which led us down to a narrow dirt road until we found another sign indicating the hostel wich looked nothing like the photos. We were greeted by aggressive dogs and tried to call around "hola" "buenas noches", honking but no one came. We got stuck for a good half hour trying to reverse and then back up the dirt road which we eventually managed- thanks to my awesome colombian pilot-after a good adrenaline rush with the dogs still barking at us. I guess this is part of the adventure, but what I found ugly is that no one came to help us, two women stuck in the middle of nowhere, although we saw lights and people as we got back up. Also booking.com turned as sold out minutes after... maybe we just had bad luck but I would advise to confirm with the owner the location is right and they are accepting guest. We had an amazing experience at Hostel Pa’gaïa. Damião is a fantastic host and cook. We ate dinner, breakfast and lunch made with love from local ingredients. The varanda is comfy and chill with incredible views of the valley, especially at sunrise. Damião is quite knowledgeable about the area and various activities. The river is a short walk down the hill and there is an awesome swimming hole nearby. If you’re looking for a place to relax with good vibes and nature this is the spot....

This place has everything you need. A terrace with an amazing view that will make you wanna stay chill there the whole day, a kitchen where you can cook everything you like and it is located 2 min walking from the river, where you can even do yoga as there is a huge rock that serve as a platform.
