Hotel La Ardilla — Hotel in Antioquia

We went to the hotel the middle of December when we arrived there was a lot of complications with the rulesI had no idea I need it the passport for my babies, anyway we solve the problem but I think they need to be more clear with that rule from the star because foreign people may not know this rule. Eeryone was very, very helpful, kind, very clean. We had the best waitress Daniella and Mery they are top of the line even help us with our twins so we could eat in peace. this place have a great castle with tons of toys for every kind of child. you name it they have tons of toys. All the rooms are good size. if yo are traveling as a couple I will suggest try the Bohios rooms,they are spectacle.They have each a country theme. Mr. Nobel gave us a tour of the rooms and I was very impressed they look like rooms in Bora, Bora and inside they have different places themes, such as indonesia, thailand, mexico, south africa, etc. We will be back, my only suggestion have a way for foreign to reserved a room with a credit card in the internet. No volvería al Hotel Ardilla: experiencia decepcionante por el precio

Estuve en el Hotel Ardilla con mi pareja durante el puente del 28 al 30 de junio, y lamentablemente no fue una buena experiencia.

Para empezar, la entrega de la habitación fue muy demorada. Tuvimos que esperar hasta las 3:30 p.m., lo cual es incómodo después de un viaje largo.

Nos asignaron un bohío que, aunque bonito, estaba bastante alejado de las demás instalaciones. Además, tenía poca presión de agua y el jacuzzi no funcionaba bien: el agua salía fría o apenas tibia, y se demoraba mucho en calentar.

Lo más grave fue que, al ingresar, encontramos un condón abierto en el clóset. Intentamos reportarlo en recepción, pero no había nadie atendiendo… ¡y eran las 6:00 p.m.! Increíble que a esa hora no haya personal disponible. Afortunadamente, un mesero llamado Albeiro fue muy amable y reportó el incidente a través de un grupo de WhatsApp del hotel. Aun así, al día siguiente tuvimos que volver a la recepción a mostrar evidencia porque nadie había hecho nada al respecto.

La comida fue otro punto muy negativo. El buffet es extremadamente básico: solo cuatro azafates con arroz, yuca frita y dos tipos de carne. El desayuno fue igual de pobre ambos días: huevo con arepa. No hay cereales, frutas, waffles ni embutidos. Muy por debajo de lo que uno esperaría por el precio. Además, servían muy poco; si uno pedía un poco más, lo miraban mal, al punto que ya daba pena insistir… y eso pagando un servicio costoso.

El hotel solo tiene una piscina, lo cual me parece insuficiente para la cantidad de huéspedes. Además, después de las 11:00 p.m., cuando cierra el bar, no hay absolutamente nada más que hacer.

Lo rescatable: el bar tiene precios razonables y tanto Albeiro como Lulú nos atendieron muy bien. También hay actividades de animación durante el día, con DJ y un animador (Andrés) muy carismático que se esfuerza por integrar a los huéspedes. Presentan shows de baile con un grupo de jóvenes de Santa Fe de Antioquia, quienes también dictan clases. Esa parte sí nos gustó.

Sin embargo, hay un señor mayor que también atiende en el bar (es flaco, usa gafas y gorra) que brinda una atención bastante grosera. Fue muy maleducado en varias ocasiones, con mala actitud.

Otro aspecto negativo es la conectividad. La señal celular en los bohíos es prácticamente nula, incluso para hacer llamadas. En algunas zonas del hotel también hay problemas de señal y el wifi es muy inestable. En los bohíos no hay wifi en absoluto, lo cual me parece terrible en estos tiempos.

En resumen, pagamos $400.000 por persona por noche, y el servicio no justifica ese precio. No lo recomiendo para planes familiares. Tal vez sea más adecuado para ir en pareja, pero personalmente...

Overall 4 stars the whole experience was great. I am going to rate different aspects of the hotel

3 stars The furnitures of the room and the towels looked old. The tv to small for this days. The pool and ping-pong table where ok but can have a Little maintenance. The food can be improved, portions for me were good. The restaurant needs to fix the fans to reduce the flys.

4 stars I stayed at the standard room, I think a family of 3 will fit perfectly. The beds were good the bathroom very nice.

5 stars The staff was very kind. The pool and the free bicycles were great, very fun. The whole facilities were great for children and to relax...
