This hotel establishment has zero care for service while only caring about squeezing every penny out of their customers.
My girlfriend and I went to their restaurant for lunch.
We started with an order of a shrimp ceviche appetizer, which average at best as it was drenched with ketchup for its sauce.
Then we each ordered our entrees - mine was a salmon risotto, while hers was a grilled porkchop.
The waiter brought out my salmon. The first thing i noticed was the odd pale color of the fish, like it wasn’t fresh. I didn’t think much of it until I took my first bite. Then I realized the entire inside of the fish was RAW/UNCOOKED.
We spoke with the waiter and showed him our uncooked fish. He said he could give us another one, but as I was now very unappetized for salmon, I asked to switch it to a seafood pasta.
Moments later, my girlfriend’s grilled pork chop came out. Within the first bite, we realized this meat was also RAW/UNCOOKED.
We told the waiter and he took away our plate. By this time, we had enough and decided to leave. We went to the cashier and explained our ridiculous situation of having been served TWO RAW/UNCOOKED dishes. We didn’t want to pay for our meals but were told that we would still have to pay for our substitute dish we had ordered of the seafood pasta even though we never touched it because we had already been so disgusted for our previous two RAW/UNCOOKED meals.
Then we asked for the manager who came and agreed with the cashier that we were required to pay for our uneaten seafood pasta as it wasn’t RAW/UNCOOKED like the previous two dishes they had served us. We argued that we shouldn’t have to pay for the substitute meal because we were so disgusted with the first two dishes that we had lost our appetite to eat it.
Then only after she spent 10+ minutes speaking with her general manager did she agree that we didn’t have to pay for the seafood pasta. But she still required us to pay for our ceviche appetizer and two soft drinks!
Now it’s been a few hours since our meal and both my girlfriend and I are in their hotel having severe stomachaches and food poisoning due to their UNCOOKED FOOD!!!
I feel like the FDA should shut down their restaurant and anyone should think twice before...
Read moreWas placed here by Avianca airlines for three days waiting for a new flight. Rooms are average, food is good. We were not considered normal guests, rather secondary because the airline was paying...this was disappointing. They have a gym and a jacuzzi but these are not really amenities because they cost extra.
Update: I was the last person left in the hotel from the deluge of people that Avianca sent them. My friend and her son who live in Bogota came to visit me at the hotel. As we sat in the lobby/lounge having a beer that I purchased through delivery because they did not sell this type, we were told to finish the ones we had open then go to the room to have any others. We did so. Shortly after we entered my room, we were greeted by 4 men at the door who told us to come down to register my guests. But then, we were told that actually, the latest my guests could stay in the room was 6 pm. It was already later than this. Then, when they left, I went for dinner and was told that there "was no airline meal" . I also was not allowed to order from the menu. The airline had already paid for my meals..I was literally treated like a street person who should be grateful for anything that I received. Their lack of customer service and humanity turned an already stressful experience into a mightmare. Never would I...
Read moreThe hotel is close to the airport and the shuttle service does run every half hour (from the second level outside of gate 5). The rooms are clean and bathrooms are updated and the hotel feels safe. We had 2 different rooms on 2 different nights and had problems with all of them.||First, none of the rooms ever cooled off below 24 degrees Celsius even though the cooling settings were set on high, we ate at the restaurant and the service was fast but I did not get what I ordered. The check in debacle at the front desk took ages - even the second time we stayed there. Last and most unpleasant- we had an issue with our toilet and it overflowed water into the bathroom. We called the front desk twice and in two hours, no one showed up. I had to go down to the front desk to get help. Then, someone finally came but they never even disinfected our floor! The staff simply wiped up the toilet water with a dry towel and left. That is highly unsanitary. additionally, many of the knobs and faucets were lose making showering a challenge. ||I would not recommend this location due to the lack of service, warm rooms and staff's lack of commitment to...
