Hotel Picasso Inn — Hotel in Bogota, Capital District

I checked in the hotel by using my credit card initially for 2 nights @115,000 pesos abt US$38 per night. Right after I checked in, I was called by my business partner that we had to leave the next morning. I didn't speak Spanish. I canceled my next day immediately. It's less than an hour after check in before noon.|I was charged for 2 days from my credit card that's not usual to me as I traveled to Colombia a lot.|I was told I would be refunded for one day. Thro' interpreter, they didn't know how to cancel the charge on my credit card even I could pay cash to them for the one day.|I trusted that they would refund me on the following Monday when their owner returned.|Then they kept asking me for my bank acc no. to give me the refund. That's another unusual practice.|Needless to tell, I had never got refund. Since I've left the next morning, I had asked my interpreter to contact them.|Further more, one business partner needed to go back to that area and stay in that hotel again, he got exchanging money there with all fake money.||After I returned to the US, I contacted my credit card bank, since it was difficult to communicate, they submitted the credit card info I placed with them and claimed my full charge of 2 days instead of one day.||Not only the hotel is not worth the price, I would find somewhere else next time and never give them your credit card information. Besides, they would ask us to canceled booing thro' any web-site to avoid...

We enjoyed our experience at Hotel Picasso. The room was sufficiently large. The bathroom was modern. The facilities were clean. The hotel is somewhat noisy. You can hear car tires on the garage floor below and voices in the halls. The desk has drinks (including alcohol) and snacks available. The desk attendant spoke no English and our Spanish is equally limited. That made for a confusing...
