Hotel Chipichape Inn — Hotel in Cali

Worst experience ever. Although this “hotel” located in one of the best areas in Cali, Colombia, our experience was horrible. Prior making a reservation, we called this “hotel” and asked about it including if it has hot water. The front desk clerk told us about the hotel and confirmed it has AC and hot water. We went to the hotel around midnight, we registered, and made the payment. We exhausted and were carrying luggage and had to climb the stairs to the lobby then 2 or 3 more floors to the room. The first thing we wanted to do was to take a shower but there was no soap. We called the front desk and the guy brought us the soap. We then noticed there were no towels, so we had to call again the front desk. After the clerk brought us the towels, we found out there was no hot water, so we called the front desk AGAIN. It’s unbelievable anyone would have to call a hotel front desk several times for basic things like soap and towels that should have been ready upon arrival especially at mid night. Anyways, after the clerk informed us the hot water heater was apparently repaired that morning. We then started to notice how filthy the room was, hairs on the sheets, etc… not like the pictures. That’s when we decided to leave. We called the front desk and let the clerk know we’re leaving. We had to carry again our luggage down the stairs to the lobby as there is no elevator. The clerk had to called the manager or the hotel’s owner to ask if we can get reimbursed. Since we were there for less than 15 minutes, the agreed to reimburse us within 10 to 15 business days. My room was NOT clean. Dirty bathrooms. I had to change rooms because of a big leak in the sealing and the 2nd room also had a leak and was even dirtier. The breakfast was horrible. Basically salty eggs, cold bread, and bitter fruit (Cali has a lot of fruit. This is unacceptable). I also paid extra for a room with a balcony- my 1st room didn't have one and my 2nd room was so crowded that it only consisted of a balcony. Pool was so dirty I could see a layer of dirt from far away

Great service and...

No cumplieron con las condiciones de la reserva. Cambiaron el tipo de habitación que se tenía reservado pero dejaron la misma tarifa. El servicio al cliente es malísimo. La recepcionista que nos recibió en la noche bastante déspota y con cero actitud de servicio. No tienen tv por cable. Solo se pueden ver canales nacionales y en mala calidad. El AA no funcionaba y la respuesta de la recepcionista fue que "no tenía más controles". Nos tocó insistir y enojarnos para que lo prendiera porque le habían quitado la energía. Para tomar el desayuno es una locura. Hay un señor en la cocina que se la pasa gritando y tratando mal a las señoras que sirven y también grita a los huéspedes desde la cocina para rectificar el pedido. Tienen una puerta para ingresar por el parquedero y toca esperar bastante para que abran. Las instalaciones están descuidadas, sucias y sin mantenimiento. La piscina tiene un orificio que succiona y que no es normal, podría causar un accidente en caso que sea un niñ@ el...
