I REALLYYYYY wanted to like this hotel. For context, my family lives in Cali and I was visiting for a funeral. We initially stayed in a different hotel and hated the service so I decided to ✨splurge✨ a bit (for Colombian context) and upgrade my party to a “more renowned” hotel. First red flag was the booking system. I booked online (directly on the hotel website) and left a note saying I was a party of 3. I called the following day to add an additional day to my stay and confirm the party of 3, I was told it would be considered a separate reservation and could not add it on to the original reservation (annoying but not that big of a deal), however, when I went in to check in the chaos that ensued because the front desk did not understand the reservation was BEYOND ANNOYING. I had the lovely (cue sarcasm) experience of doing pre check in and fully paying up front but when the shift changed, I was called down to pay again because they did not have context of what the pre shift did. After I explained the situation, the staff members did not believe me until I pulled receipts (so keep your receipts). THEN, they did not understand the balance on my account, some members stated I had credit while others didn’t. Also, if there are 3 adults per room just know there is an additional fee per adult which raises the price for the hotel, you can find something much nicer for that price. As part of the check-in chaos, my mom and aunt are Colombian citizens but don’t live in-country and so the staff had confusing information about whether they had to pay taxes or not. (They didn’t - they are tourists)
Other than that the hotel looks like a prison. As noted in another review, the pool area is hazardous. The staff at the front desk were eh. It feels like a militarized police state. You get questioned every time you enter. Oh, and the first night we weren’t even on the list.
The location is the best part of the hotel. The wifi is fast and can withhold video calls. The rooms are decent. Breakfast is good. I had two positive interactions at the hotel. One was with the pool guy, I think his name was Johan and another with a security guard whose name I forget but that man was absolutely fantastic (friendly and...

The hotel is very modern and enviromentaly friendly,
But the SUPER STARS! of this Hotel are its STAFF.
To point a few of them in the order you will probably meet them:
from Officer Cortez at the door security a very competent, friendly and honorable man, that wears his uniform with pride.
Miss Nicole at the front desk whom works endless hours with great attitude and beautifull smile on her face to make you feel greeted and at home.
Then there is The Maintanence staff all with great attitude, with laundry(great laundry service by the way) Miss Elaidy (hope to be spelling it correct). Whom you can tell really loves her job.
Last not but not least Mr. Alejandro Ochoa, whom runs security and is very comited to protecting the hotel, staff and guests, with good demeanor and carries his post in a very responsible and human way.
Sorry not to mention all other names, just did not had the time to memorice their names but I will never forget their faces or their great treatment given to me. I felt at home.
To put this Team in a quote..
There is nothing as strong as gentelness and there is nothing as gentle as real strength. Strong and Gentle Team this is.

Read moreI’ve been here twice in the last year. The first time the air conditioning in my room did not work I had to spent the entire stay dying in the hottest room ever, when I asked for a room changed they rejected the request and said they were going to fix the air conditioning but they didn’t. My second time was less traumatic, but when I get to my room the bathroom did not have hands towels or towels to get out from the shower, I asked several times for this and every time they sent towels it was body towels “gigantic”, no sense, my desk had scratches with the chair and the table in the middle of the mini living room you have. I was charged incorrectly for laundry the price was higher than expected or written in the sheet they left in your room. I had to cross the street every day to the Spiwak Chipichape Hotel for the gym and my daily breakfast because they were hosting an event, this is not guests' fault, windows do not have noise control. They only have one receptionist at the front desk so the lines are endless, for a 5 start hotel and the rates they charge it must be better the experience...
