Casa-hostal, El Prado — Hotel in Cartagena

i stayed both at the private room (2 nights) and the dorm (1 night). the private room was exactly as the pictures. But there are no pics of the 3bed dorm.||anyway, the negative first:|•rationed AC (which is bad for cartagena)|•the water pressure is low for 2nd floor (they plan to add a...drum (?) to get more pressure. they're saving for it)||now for all the positives:|•super helpful son. he speaks english well and just a whatsapp msg away. the amount of information and assistance we go made up for distance from the center|•speaking of distance: it's just $2.000 from the center by bus, so this is a lot of savings than if you stay in the center, where most accommodations are expensive|•fixed cost for the cab is $10.000. uber can be lower/higher depending on time|•the private room is big|•bathrooms on both private and dorm rooms were clean|•the dorm didn't come with AC, even if there's one installed. but they graciously let us turn it on for a few hours at night, which, with the help of a fan, was sufficient to...

Hey everyone. I booked by booking.com a private room in this house. It was nice but after one of the employees cleaned my room, was missing cash! I told him and of course he didn't steal it... At least he told me that. Anyways it must be somebody who has access to the room because it was closed. So I decided to write a reference on booking.com that I have "suspicion" that somebody stole money from me. After I sent the reference successfully, they cancelled afterwards my booking and so the reference was deleted. This was for me the confirmation of my suspicion and that is the reason why I write my reference here on Tripadvisor. It is a good price, yes, you are attracted to this issue, but... It is very far from the center, or beaches. You pay in taxi fees or walk, like an hour... Than, there is thia sleeping problem: although they have an air conditioning system in my room, they started it only when a fourth guy came, around midnight, then, someone came during the night to stop it... It was very hot. Plus, the two little unhappy dogs they have are a nuisance: they bark too often, and they made their... dog necessities just next to our entrance. Personally, I hate that. One sole bathroom for... Everybody. Ok, I guess, when everybody doesn't mean more that 8 people... Kitchen... Ok, I guess it's in the norm. Wi-Fi : ok, could be better,...
