When we checked in we were greeted warmly by the great staff and the owner came over to great us. We said we were looking for a house. In the area and wanted to book a long stay We said if we found a house could we check out early without a penalty. He said it would be no problem Because the reservation was for over a month The first apartment was nice although the bed caused us back pain We told them this and the were unable to help. We bought a mattress pad to help. The internet never worked. Something important to most people We complained everyday for weeks. No help. They said it wasn’t there fault. Finally we said we would be moving out the next day because of the internet problem and also the door to the bedrooms doorknob came off in our hands everyday It was not fixed causing us to have to use a towel to open. The shower took over five minutes to heat up and trickle down ||They offered us finally only after saying we would move out to change apartments. The second apartment was better. We finally had internet. The sink in the bathroom could not produce warm water. Same problem with the door knob We finally were tired of all the problem ||We went to the desk asking for a credit. I offered to pay the non discounted price as we were leaving early After saying we could move out with no penalty if we moved out early they wanted to charge a 20 percent penalty. I spoke to the wife and told here that here husband said it would be no problem to leave early and I also said we had no internet in the entire stay at the first apartment She said she did not know that and would not charge us the penalty. We stayed 23 off the 36 nights They promised to return 16 nights They wrote the numbers on a paper on their letterhead which I will try and attach if I am able to hide my name Amazingly the said they could not credit my credit card What? I said they could pay me in cash , They said they did not have enough cash the equivalent of $500 or so. They asked for my bank information so the would wire me in pesos. They said yes. I asked to wire the money in usd they said no They then reneged on not charging the 20!percent penalty I was upset and said they were being dishonest They then said they will not pay anything because I was harassing them The next day my patner went back and demanded the money They shorted her by 300000 pesos These are bad , dishonest people running a shoddy outdated “hotel”Stay tree but there are many many better...
Read moreJuan Carlos and his family operate this small, but very comfortable hotel located in central Chia, just outside of Bogota, Colombia. The rooms are very well appointed and include a kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom. The hotel provides a complimentary breakfast every morning which includes a couple of different options cooked to order. The food was quite good. The hotel is small, but it does have a small fitness facility. It is also centrally located close the the central area of Chia and within walking distance of the main shopping mall. The service was very good and the ownership worked hard to ensure that all of our needs were met while we were there. Free wifi and mini-bar options were also available, which was nice. Whether you are looking for a place to stay for business or a place to spend a few days while exploring the Chia area on vacation, the Hotel Campestre Villa Juliana was a very comfortable and surprising well appointed hotel that I would recommend to those in need of a hotel...
Read moreWe stayed for 1 night and didn't have a good experience. We liked the location but the place is very noisy. From dogs barking throughout the night, people ringing the doorbell after what quiet hours were supposed to be to roosters clucking at 4 am, it was impossible to get any sleep. The following morning, I was told that one of the rooms we stayed at was always noisy. Really? And you still rent it out? The worst part was that there was never an apology on the hotel's part. They admitted to how bad things are. I told them that they should describe the place better so people would know what to expect, and avoid having a...
