We stayed in one of the cabins at the back of the house which are in the middle of a lovely garden and have the added advantage of balconies for gazing out/drying washing etc. In general, people come to Guican for the trekking and this place is decked out accordingly - easy clean stone floors, functional furnishings and comfortable beds with warm blankets. Slightly temperamental shower but that's hardly a novelty in this part of Colombia. Wifi in the main area upstairs - not that fast but I think that's true of all of Guican.||||Breakfasts are good with a particularly tasty version of the ubiquitous huevos revueltos on offer featuring, among other things, spring onions. Dinner is filling and reasonable but was the same dish every day while we were there. Guican is not a foodie mecca so, again, this wasn't out of the ordinary.||||Friendly staff and the offer to store our backpacks there free while we went trekking. Good location just off the main square and 50 yards from the Libertadores bus office/stop. A good option...
