Read moreWe spent one night at the Chill Out hotel as we had an early flight from Bucaramanga airport nearby. ||The room was rustic but nicely decorated and it had air con and a clean bathroom with hot shower. For the price that was more than we could have asked for. Breakfast was good (probably the best arepas we’ve had) and the service was great, really friendly and available for anything. ||The bedlinen felt a bit synthetic, the lighting in the room was a bit dingy and the noise from the street can be a bit loud during the day. That said, I slept solidly and comfortably so I can’t complain. ||Do note that Giron doesn’t have much to offer and restaurants seem to shut at 8pm so I wish we had had a meal at the hotel instead. I wouldn’t recommend Giron itself but if you have to be in Giron, Chill Out is a very good...
Read moreVisited again in late February 2018. Just as good as my first visit. Ok it’s a rustic place with great charm. They make you welcome and will always try to help. The rooms are comfortable and have air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The bathroom is basic but everything is clean and works. Breakfast is good, fresh fruit and cooked food also. We went out all day butt you can have an evening meal if you wish. The eating area has an open roof with a sliding cover, a great place to talk and have a beer. The staff are so nice and helpful, the owner was there this time and was wonderful to us as well. The staff even came in to give us breakfast extra early so we could get to the airport to catch an early flight.||I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel when visiting the area it’s ideal for...
