Hotel Boutique La Villa de San Bartolomé — Hotel in Honda

We had a lovely couple of days staying in this beautiful hotel, which has only been open a year. Our room was very nice - spotlessly clean and elegantly decorated, with aircon (absolutely essential in Honda... it's REALLY hot!) and a kingsize bed that was one of the comfiest we've had on our travels. Walls were decent so we had no trouble with noise and slept very well each night. The hotel has a lovely outdoor swimming pool, lots of different sitting areas, and a couple of terraces with views of the hills around. There is a general Asian theme to the decoration with lots of interesting art around. Breakfast included fresh fruit, fresh juice and eggs, all very tasty, and there was free tea and coffee all day too. Staff were amazing - super helpful, cheerful and friendly. When there was a massive thunderstorm and torrential rain on the first evening, our (downstairs) room got a bit flooded. They were so apologetic and immediately moved us to an upstairs room. They also rang the bus station and booked us our tickets to Manizales. We only had 2 very minor complaints - first, that the wifi was a little up and down, and second, that there was no hot water in the shower. It is so hot in Honda you don't really need it, but it would still have been nice to have this e.g. after a swim in the pool. ||Perhaps it's because it's low season, or just because Honda isn't much visited by tourists, we thought this place was exceptionally good value. We paid 160 000 COP a night, yes, more than a hostel, but a real bargain for a hotel this good! This same hotel in Cartagena or Medellín would cost probably at least five times the price! We would have loved to stay longer, and would definitely highly recommend here to anyone passing...

My family and I stayed at this hotel for our visit to Honda. The rooms were a good size, very clean and the bed super comfy. They greet you a glass of natural juice. The service provided by the stafff is excellent. They really want to make you feel at home. They provide breakfast in the morning. The quality of the food was above our expectations. They start w a fruit plate then they provide juice in addition chocolate or tea. The options are a little limited but the flavor of what they offer was really good. The only reason why it wasn’t a full rating is because they do not offer hot water. Although the front desk mentioned they are working on that detail. Yes, it is a beautiful hotel in a city that does not seem very touristy. It was difficult to locate it because he did not have a name on his facade (Fortunately there is Wase). The rooms are very comfortable and without bugs. The staff is warm and gentle, which makes it very good. We went in low season with my family and practically the hotel was just for us. Things to improve: It is in the pink area of Honda, which sometimes makes music and people noise, but it is well located. You should take care of this and try to reduce the sound a little bit.
