Heard about this place from a number of blogs and TikToks. Definitely tries to be a party hostel, and I think it is one. In August/September (when it is less trafficked) it had around 25 people who were more chill/relaxed than the target market. Went with three friends, all of us in our mid to late 20s. Many pros and cons to consider before your stay. Pros: - good location with almost 360° views of the ocean and archipelagos. You have a sand bank to stay and splash around on and slighter deeper water with kelp and fish to snorkel through. - activities provided were basic water things: SUP, snorkeling, kayaking, boat tours. - food was decent. You’re greeted upon arrival with empanadas and yummy juice. The empanadas were excellent, except the cheese one. Lunch and dinner are always fish or veg. You also have the option to upgrade dinner to lobster or crab. Everything is kept alive until the last minute so you know it’s very fresh. Portions were good size. - it’s nice to have meals included and served communally. Makes it a bit more social. Juice was yummy and made fresh every day. - bar has good well drinks and piñacolada’s. G&T was more lime juice than tonic - Bedrooms are ok. - other guests staying at the time we were there were nice. Cons - overall, they overcharge for everything since they have you stuck on a concrete slab in the ocean. Staff with also try to throw surprise fees onto the bill at the end. - Communications prior to arrival claim it’s cash only and that you can’t bring big backpacks. This is not true. You can pay for everything with card and bring a big suitcase or backpack. Don’t bother taking a bunch of cash out, but maybe have a couple hundred thousand as backup - breakfast portions were small. It consisted of a egg empanada and a few pieces of fruit. They have uncooked oatmeal and Frosted Flakes too. - activities were overpriced. 15 minute swim with plankton was overpriced. The “free” things you are presented to do ask for large tips that they then present as mandatory after the fact. Heard that the archipelago had a lot more to do for less money - one member of the staff would not stop acting really creepy to my friend. He would tell her constantly he wanted to be her “lover” and try to have physical contact like hugging and cheek kissing. She made it clear she did not like it and was uncomfortable but he did not stop. Overall, I can’t say I’d recommend it over the nicer hotels and other hostels in the actual archipelago. It’s wayyyyy overpriced for what you get. If you want a hostel to get drunk in and party on the ocean like a cruise, maybe this is for you at busy season. But overall, it had a really weird vibe that made the experience slightly uncomfortable, at least for a group of women.

I went with my girlfriend, and before going, there was a lot of doubt due to some comments... The instructions given before the stay were 100% aligned... We went knowing how things were and how they worked! The expectations regarding the bathroom and food were exactly as mentioned before the stay via email. However, I have a suggestion for the house management: the reception and kitchen staff were so polite and kind, so I didn't understand why the bar staff were rude, especially to men. In fact, I noticed the treatment was different when my girlfriend or other women ordered. So, a message to the bartenders: treat every guest like you treat bikini-clad women! My experience was good because my girlfriend and I knew how to enjoy ourselves... It's a fantastic and unique place, but it depends a lot on the energy of the people staying there! During our stay last week, we were the only Brazilian guests, while the rest were from various places in Europe. Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of encountering the typical rude European... In the shared room, some girls seemed bothered when I entered; I mentioned this to my girlfriend, and we opted for a private room to avoid bothering the European girls. A group of friends insisted on smoking marijuana on the second floor, which is reserved only for the rooms, despite clear rules in English prohibiting smoking in a wooden house in the middle of the water, especially as it is a rest area. Additionally, these rude Europeans left the party shouting on the rest floor and spent the rest of the night watching loud videos in the next room. Since the house is made of wood and the ceilings of the rooms are open, you can hear everything from the next room, although all of this is clearly explained in the house arrival rules. It's a shame the superior Europeans couldn't behave! If you're looking for a place to rest, this isn't it, as there's music all day long. However, at night, the music is at a reasonable volume for those who choose to go to bed early, as I did. Apart from the clueless Europeans, it was a great night's sleep with the sound of the sea. Regarding my room, I didn't see any bedbugs as mentioned in previous comments. The only complaint about the room is that the awning zipper is broken and doesn't close completely, allowing a lot of wind to enter, so we had to partially close the awning. It was a unique experience, and if you, like me, came here to read the comments out of fear, this is my account. It's a wonderful place, but it depends on who you share the environment with. I thank Lucca and the kind staff who could definitely give some hospitality lessons to the bar staff.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STAY HERE I’ll start with the positives because there are far fewer. The location is amazing. Blue clear water and nice views of the island and other hotels (which were far closer than we expected, our fault for believing social media). The lunch and dinner is decent & big portions (some reviews suggested small portions, so maybe they’ve changed) Shower/toilet facilities good There’s full bars of service and good wifi. Not quite the digital disconnect they advertise I think that’s the positives over now the negatives. I’ll start with a cost breakdown which is why the bad points are made so much worse. Hammocks 180k/night Return boat 320k Food 40k per meal Drinks 35k Tours 60k So overall for 2 nights in hammocks, 2 people we paid COP2,088,000 or $500 USD (including 1 tour, 6 drinks). For this price we had high expectations. Which make the bad bits even worse. The reps/staff are the worst I’ve ever experienced. They’re are so many staff members and none of them look like they want to be there. They look at you like you’re an uninvited guest in their house. 0 smiles, 0 interactions. Every time you ask a question or pay for something they act like it’s a chore. If you come for drinking and partying this is not the place. They have a board of the party games they do each night. They just don’t do them. The reps all drink separately to you and make 0 effort to create an atmosphere. The bartender begrudgingly serves the most stingily poured drink looking because you’ve inconvenienced him from looking at his phone. We did the plankton tour which was great but they get you out the water after 15 minutes, we got told it would be 30 mins. The staff were also incapable of explaining what the tours involved. You’d ask questions and get one word answers. Absolutely save your money and go somewhere else. I’ll bet they’ll reply to this with some ChatGPT response
