Cabañas y Camping Colinas de San Diego — Hotel in Huila

This place was included as a part of a package (that's why I can't comment on the price range of the place).||I can comment on the friendly staff and the nice view.||It is located a little outside of the center but not too far, you can walk there and it is close to one of the places to see (El tablón) and on the road to other places like the Magdalena river.||We were given a room with bathroom, a doble bed and a single one. ||It wasn't so big, but it was clean and enough for us.||The place has also space for tents and hammocks and a kitchen if you want to save some money and cook there.||The walls aren't so thick, you could listen what other people in other rooms were talking, but it wasn't too noisy.||Wi-Fi wasn´t the fastest but it was ok.||Overall it was a nice...

We did not stay at this lodging so I cannot comment on the property, however when we arrived in san agustin we were approached by a gentleman from Colinas as soon as we stepped off the van, we took the card of the hostel but informed him we had another place to stay. After he asked us where, he called over another gentleman who claimed to be the owner of the hostel we were planning on staying at. He told us it was booked till tomorrow morning but that this place was nice and we could stay there.||We were suspicious so we walked to our first choice of hostel and found that it was practically empty with plenty of beds to choose from. Mi mujer (Española) y yo (Alemán) alquilamos 3 noches del 16 al 18 de diciembre de 2017 una habitación con baño privado. Igual que a Cristina V y sus amigos el Sr Humberto, guía turístico acreditado aunque no lo debería ser, nos abordó nada más llegar en un taxi al centro de San Agustín. Al ser de noche y sin ganas de buscar más aceptamos su oferta: 60.000 COP / noche habitación privada con baño y agua caliente, desayuno y vistas maravillosas (solo si acampas). El espacio en la habitación era justo y abrir las mochilas era posible solo encima de la segunda cama. Pero cada día nos quedamos sin agua y ninguno de ellos, cuando había, estaba caliente a pesar de comunicárselo al personal que trabaja en el establecimiento. Al final de la estancia pedimos ver al dueño, el Sr Humberto en persona para pedirle un descuento por los servicios no recibidos. Cuando finalmente se presentó nos insultó diciendo que mi mujer es de los Españoles que robaron el oro a Colombia y que junto con Alemanes nazis intentamos ahora imponer nuestra voluntad una vez más. Incluso levantó la mano amenazando con pegarme. Luego Humberto llamó a la policía, cosa que agradecimos. Les contó a los agentes que no queríamos pagar, cosa que no era verdad en absoluto. Después de mucho intercambio de opiniones, amenazas a mi mujer de muerte y la intermediación de los agentes Humberto concedió un descuento de 5.000 COP / noche, liquidamos en presencia de ellos y nos fuimos la mañana siguiente sin verle más a Humberto, afortunadamente. Para proteger nuestra salida los agentes nos habían entregado sus referencias y teléfonos.||Cuidado pues con el Sr Humberto que no solo es dueño de las Cabañas Colinas de San Diego sino también del Hostal / Camping Diosa Lunar. Por cierto, muy cerca de las Cabañas más cerca de San Agustín hay más opciones.||Y plantéate hacer la excursión en jeep que se ofrece (Humberto es un experto en ello) solo o con amigos en taxi por tu cuenta (140.000 COP/día entero), eligiendo bien los lugares que realmente te interesan sin que un chófer marque el horario para acabar antes del tiempo...
