Nomada Hostel — Hotel in Leticia

What a lovely place! Jonathan is just an amazing host who knows how to make you just feel at home. He was welcoming us so warmly, helped us with everything we could wish for and just had this really amazing sense of benevolence for me. Also the place is lovely, you'll find a really well equipped, spacious kitchen (I really loved it and you don't find that often in columbian hostels), a cozy indoor chill area with a really good and free to play guitar (!) - a really lovely garden with a cozy chill area where people would meet, exchange and enjoy together. Jonathan is an artist so definetly don't miss the chance to take a look to his artworks! (you'll need to ask. Also if you wanna get tatooed, ask kindly, he might be the guy!) Last but not least the room was great, really big, private bathroom, warm water, good mattress, simple but lovely interior; amazing for what we payed (think 70.000/night). Oh yeah, and I really loved the music Jonathan was playing! (from waking up to the calm sounds of piano to French smooth techno sounds in the evening.. Thanks and keep it up Jonathan!)

All in all we had an amazing stay, might be one of my top places of Columbia - so if you're up for a cosy, lovely, artsy, social vibe hostel experience, this is you're place!

P. S.: I stayed in casa de las Palmas before, they might have a pool but Nomad has the atmosphere....

Firstly, the place is extremely in the most distant and dangerous part of the city. The hostess was not polite when she didn't want to accept a document that everyone in Colombia accepts. the check-out was completely different from what I have seen in any hotel or accommodation. They really need to learn about how hosting works, because I'm only going to lose guests like that. The place was very dirty, stinking, the bathroom was not clean, the back part was full of weeds, a dark area at night, very far from everything, and the hostess did not inform at any time that she could not accept the identity document since If we entered the country with this, why couldn't we use it if the immigration itself accepted it, anyway, I think it was the owner's prejudice and for that reason she didn't want to receive me and my friends, harming us, leaving us in the rain in a city that doesn't we knew, having to find another accommodation at short notice. I would never recommend a place like this that doesn't treat tourists well. I changed all my planning trusting in the wrong place. there's a beautiful and relaxing backyard garden with hammocks, a communal sitting area, a fire pit, and a raised platform to enjoy

inside is a shared kitchen, a communal dining area and spacious dorms with en suite restrooms

but what makes this hostel truly special are the people and the story behind it's creation, the project to create a space where knowledge and friendship is shared

the warmth, kindness, and welcoming atmosphere here is incomparable to any other hostel I've been to and I recommend staying here for as long as you want
