We didn't stay at the hostal, but the site was gorgeous, and we totally would have loved to, but we did go on a cacao tour there. It was so fun!!! My six kids (ages 7-17) were all entertained the entire time and loved it. Several of them said it was there favorite thing we did while in Cartagena and Santa Marta. Jhony was so fun and the tour was very interactive, he had us all smelling this plant or other thing, tasting different things, touching some sensitive plants (they curl up), etc. The refreshments were delicious, and so was the chocolate. Jhony was a bit shocked that even my youngest kids loved dark chocolate and were happily chowing down the 100% cacao, no sugar added, chocolate bar that we made.
