I've spent 3 nights, 4 days in this spa hotel. Let me give you the breakdown:
The entrance is a bit dangerous, especially during peak traffic. The main entrance it's on the highway and by the time you see it you are going 80kms per hour making it hard to smoothly turn. There isn't a separate lane to go in with the car, it's like the entrance of a parking lot but you have to be careful and mindful of traffic behind you. It's an easy recipe of an accident. I highly suggest making bigger banners that announce you are getting to the place, to help customers prepare and gradually slow down.
The people in the reception are great and super informative.
Food wasn't good at all. For the high prices, the preparation, quality and taste should be much much better. This is an area of improvement. Rice was always dry, taste was always off, quality of fruit and oil used want the greatest. Carefully reviewing the menu will help you having more variety, also, you guys urgently need a real bar tender!! It's not ok to have the waiter/waitress to also handle bar drinks. Another recommendation is to have some music in the restaurant and pool area.
Pool, jacuzzi, sauna and river area are fantastic. But I strongly recommend having a kiosk mini bar by the pool. We had to wait a long time for staff to show up, or we had to walk all the way to kitchen area to call staff to get drinks and food, or to get sauna ready. Having a bar by the pool will maximize your winnings and will allow always to have a person in sight to call maintenance to assist with other services.
Another suggestion, you guys have a HUGE area to work with, why not to create a section where customers can pay ping-pong, arcade machines, rana, board games, billiards. Again, the more little entertaining changes and features you add to the hotel, the more income you'll generate, the more customers would like to stay around eating and drinking.
The girl and guy that work taking orders and bringing food/ drinks did an stellar job!! Kudos to them, they did a great job. If not for those two, the hotel would fall apart. Keep up the fantastic job!!
They are pretty friendly and were kind to my little kitten whenever they were around. Also, the lady that cleaned the room did a marvelous job.
Regarding additional services, please stop offering massages. They were really low low quality. No technique, very expensive, you will get a bigger massage from the pool massage water shooter on the sides. Seriously, you guys need to find another personnel or company that gives massage. My wife got mint oil on her eye and they show zero concern or care. The massage itself was extremely poor in quality, it was like calling a random person from the street to give you a massage. For the high prices you can really go get something better from a chair massager.
In summary:
Food - ⭐ Drinks - ⭐ Service - ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Location - ⭐ Area (pool, jacuzzi, sauna) - ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ Additional services...
Read moreUnfortunately I cannot confirm the good reviews. The facilities are beautiful and the location by the river is special. However, it is definitely not worth the price if compared to European or American hotel standards, just starting at the very basic reception that could use a makeover. The service is very scarce, a bar menu doesn't even exist, for breakfast we just got 2 (pretty boring) plates on the table and weren't offered any choices - not what I expected for that category and price. We had to pay for water even if it was free in every other accomodation during our trip. The waiters didn't know anything about the wine they had on offer and the prices for dinner were very high while we had much better food outside of the hotel for reasonable Colombian prices. The room was spacious but could use a mosquito net with a lot of bugs and spiders hanging on the ceiling and the water in the shower was mostly cold. So don't get fooled by the beautiful pictures like us. On top, all the jacuzzis and saunas were covered and turned off and only get started upon request. Makes sense in regard to electricity prices but changes the whole athmosphere. It definitely lacks a lot of love and professionalism - the location definitely...
Read moreKantawa Eco Spa Hotel is synonymous with Gratitude, fulfillment, and happiness is certainly a true statement. This place is gorgeous. If you're looking for rest and rerelaxation pools, spas, Jacuzzis, horseback riding, messages, and last but not least the restaurant food is fantastic. There are other things here to enjoy that just takes it to another world. I would recommend coming over and over and over. There was a group of us, 15 people that went and I saw nothing but smiles for 36 hours. It's very beautiful and if you like nature, you will really enjoy this place. This is a place that you can't do in two days so you definitely would have to come back. The privacy is amazing and the employees here that cater to you are wonderful. Everything is on time and they're very professional. I had the opportunity to meet the owners and they’re doing a great job. The owners have a good staff and understand their clients very well and adaptable to your needs. ||||Respectfully Yours,||||John J....
