Natyva House — Hotel in Magdalena

I loved it! Being tucked away from the sound of reggaeton in the city was exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend going with good company—long walks to the beach to reach the restaurants and slow days spent staring out at the sea are always better with someone by your side. Otherwise, Natyva House might feel a bit too remote for extroverts.

That said, John, the owner, was incredibly helpful with all his recommendations. And if you surf, there’s a good chance you’ll end up buddies with him 😉

The room was lovely too. Just be prepared if you’re staying in the one without air conditioning—it can get a little warm. But having your feet in the sand and being right on the beach more than makes up for it.

Wundervoller Ort voller Ruhe und Entspannung. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Jedoch muss man sich bewusst sein das es nur das Restaurant neben an gibt zum frühstücken, Mittagessen oder Abendessen. Man kann zwar ca. 15/20 Minuten den Strand entlang gehen dort findet man einige Möglichkeiten wobei bei uns einmal der Fluss mit dem Meer so überflutet war das wir diesen leider nicht uberqueren konnten.

Auch war es uns nicht möglich im Meer zu baden. Die Wellen waren zu extrem und überall rote Fahnen.

Aber ansonsten Unterkunft top. Man merkt das sie noch sehr neu ist. Haben uns durch und durch wohl gefühlt.

Einige Sachen gehören finde ich noch angepasst z.B. das es wenigstens Kaffee gratis geben sollte wie beim Nachbar wenn man schon keine Chance auf ein Frühstück hat und auch die Outdoor Dusche hat mir ein wenig gefehlt zur Abkühlung weil man eben sicher die meiste Zeit nicht ins Wasser kann. Ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer wäre fein das man Getränke/Obst im nächsten Ort kaufen kann und man wenigstens frisches kaltes Wasser ect. hätte, wie gesagt es gibt dort einfach nichts, auch nicht auf der Straße.

Dafür gibt es aber keinen Abzug der Sterne weil es eben noch ein sehr neues Haus ist und noch nicht ganz fertig gestellt ist. Ein Appartement im oberen Geschoss ist noch in Ausbau.

We have stayed here for three nights. We have had an amazing time in this hotel. The host (John) was most helpful in advising restaurants, nice spots and the continuation of our trip.
