I didn’t stay at the hotel, but this is a restaurant I visit often, and I’m finally writing a review. It’s located on the main road in Calabazo, within walking distance of the Calabazo entrance to Tayrona Park (note that Tayrona Park has multiple entrances).
I ordered the filete de robalo en salsa de coco y tamarindo. The portion was generous, and the sauce was flavorful. The rice served with it is typical of the region. The restaurant itself is spacious, with a lovely layout that integrates well with the surrounding nature. One of its highlights is a talking parrot that’s always fun to see.
Unfortunately, the service is consistently subpar, which has been my recurring issue every time I visit. However, the quality of the food for the price makes up for it.

Read moreI found this place enchanting. The grounds are beautiful, full of luxurious and colorful foliage and exotic fauna running free. Staff were very nice and helpful. Our room was nothing over the top but clean and comfortable, attractive and cool with sufficient aircon and ceiling fan over the bed. The lovely attached private terrace got little use. We couldn’t stand the high heat, but were out there long enough to take lots of photographs. The pool on the grounds is very nice and very well kept, and there are hammocks for those who want a snooze after a dip in the pool. The outdoors restaurant has fresh food, service is good and people are friendly. Internet can be iffy when the weather is stormy. It’s not the hotel’s fault. It’s a local outage that, in our case, was restored within the...
Read moreGreat location and amazing Colombian food.
Tucked away in the lush Colombian forest near Tayrona National Park, this place is the perfect mix of wild and wonderful.
The staff? Amazing and attentive. Super friendly, always smiling, and somehow able to carry a tray of fresh coconuts. The rooms are open-air, rustic-chic masterpieces, you’ll feel like you’re in a Colombian fairytale.
The food was fresh, local, and so good it made me consider proposing to the chef. I ordered the fish and I’m 73% sure it was swimming five minutes before hitting the plate.
Whether you’re hiking Tayrona, chasing waterfalls, or just doing the noble work of perfecting your tan, this hotel is a jungle dream with just enough luxury to keep you from running off and joining a capuchin monkey tribe.
10/10...
