HOTEL COLORES BOUTIQUE — Hotel in Medellín

Our negative experience starts off with their website stating airport transportation . We had made arrangements to be picked up at the airport, after 45 minutes we realized that this was not happening, so we took our own taxi.||When we arrived the hotel would not accept either of our credit cards, so luckily we had enough Colombian pesos to cover our 4 night stay.||Upon reflection I feel this was deliberate to prevent any chance of a partial refund.||The breakfast photo on their website is an outright lie. They don’t provide juice or waffles as shown in the photo. When I asked for juice the cook stated that because I had asked for milk in my coffee I was not eligible for juice. My partner didn’t get milk in her coffee and still no juice. He was extremely rude!!!||Rooms are much smaller that the photos show ||When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told they would contact me ||They never did , they sent a message to||the receptionist, who only by chance relayed it to us. The owner avoided direct communication with me! ||The only positive thing was the two female receptionists!! There were fabulous!||Oh one more irritant, two sliver bars of soap, no shampoo or conditioner and no hand towels ||What a cheap riff-off hotel!!! ||Don’t...

The pictures and the property itself do not match at all. Our room had several issues with the bedroom door and bathroom door. Neither would close or lock properly. The ac in the room was the worst. It kept turning off throughout the night, even when we turned the timer off. ||The room was also extremely hot. We had to open the window for some sort of breeze to come in. The breakfast was also deceitful. The pictures shown everywhere (including the hotels website itself) were so different. Breakfast was scrambled eggs with hot dog cut into pieces. It was served with either arepas with sliced cheese on it or toast. ||Will admit, the coffee was delicious. ||The only saving grace was the lady at the front desk, she was a complete and total sweetheart during our entire stay and that everything is relatively close to the property. But other than that, please stay elsewhere. Also this property does NOT offer transportation as stated on their website (and third party...

Mind the step!|Had a room on 2nd floor and the last step was 50% higher than previous steps which were quite uniform. It's like those steps in mediaeval castles, designed to make attackers trip up. Oh and another place we had to pay cash!||Other than that; excellent staff, comfy room, pool [tiny but refreshing], hot tub and a steam room [sadly out of action when we visited, oh but the smell of eucalyptus!]||Parking off site, had to be paid for BUT was refunded by the hotel.||Good location close to lots of restaurants, easy to get to / from, 15 minutes into the central area.||Breakfast the obligatory eggs and arepas, but it was a decent serving and tasty.|Good wifi signal.||Another place I could easily have spent more time...
