Posada Turística Quenari Wii — Hotel in Mitú

A pretty place with beautiful garden. Helpful host, willing to provide what's necessary. The rooms are simple, but that's more than I would expect at such a remote location. At the time we are here it seems we are the only tourists at the whole town. Mitu makes an impression of a safe town, it feels safe to move around. There's a formidable presence of police and military all around. To anyone coming I would recommend going for a boat tour at the river and going to spend some time ar Cerro Flecho. Its a rare occasion to see the jungle from above. I do not recommend Cerro Urania, it has a view on a piece of the river, but it is not too nice after seeing Cerro Flecho. All in all, a very nice place to visit for a comfortable Amazon experience. There's a working ATM at the town. Food is delicious at every place we've eaten as well as all commodities...

We are independent birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts and wanted to visit the Mitu area for many years. The rooms are a little basic but perfectly comfortable for our needs. We really liked the location and set-up of Quenari Wii. Mauricio is a fantastic host, super helpful and provides great service. Very easy to get around by mototaxi and lots of great forest and birds to be enjoyed. Mauricio recommended Grill restaurant which is a short walk a way and has very good food and service. Ich habe eine Woche in Mitú und dem Hotel verbracht und mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Inhaber Mauricio gibt viele Tips und hilft proaktiv bei der Tages- und Tourengestaltung. Das Hotel bietet mit dem tollen Garten und Aufenthaltsbereichen auch so einen Erholungsort und man kann schnell entspannen. Ringsum sind Restaurants (lokale Küche) und Supermärkte, das Zentrum ist schnell über Tuk Tuks erreichbar oder 25-30 Minuten zu fuß entfernt.

Ich habe nur kleine Kritikpunkte, aber die haben den Aufenthalt trotzdem nicht gestört: Internet schwankt manchmal etwas, funktioniert aber für die wichtigsten Sachen. Frühstück könnte etwas mehr sein, aber glaube in Kolumbien ist es so üblich. Küche ist etwas knapp ausgestattet, eignet sich zum Kochen kleiner Sachen für 1-2 Personen - für Familien vielleicht einen großen Topf mehr. Für Alleinreisende aber ausreichend, komme...
