I've stayed in Four Seasons in NY, nice hotels in Aspen, Mexico, Colombia France....but nothing like this place. We were doing a roadtrip around the Coffe Region and our car broke down close to Circasia, where we had to go to find a service station. There was no way to repair the car quickly to we have to stay in this little town and someone in the street recommended the hotel. ||The three of us visited the house with Claudia who is an enchanting woman. The rooms where clean, spacious. All we needed after a 6 hour drive from Medellin so we decided to stay there for 2 nights and visit the beautiful Valle de Cocora and the Coffe Park which are in neighbor towns. ||Claudia found us this amazing woman Gloria (thank you Gloria) to drive us around, who was the best driver we had seen. She managed those turns and drove in the fog bettter than any of the F1 drivers. ||The breakfast was the best part: fresh arepas with "quesito", eggs made to order (pericos-tomatoes and onions), hot chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice. ||Circasia is a bustling little town, many shops, great restaurants and bars that open late (1 am on a Wednesday?? Not even in NY).||The hotel has a common space upstairs with ping pong table and couches. The first night we sipped wine in this area until around 11 pm when we were asked to be quiet because we were bothering other guests, which was the right thing to do. ||The only not so possitve thing is that they have free wifi but it can be a little slow in the rooms. ||I left my computer charger and a t-shirt in the room. Claudia and Carlos did everything possible to find me and shipped the things to my hotel in Bogota without asking to pay for it. ||I am in the luxury travel business and I have to say that this has been the most memorable experience in a hotel. Luxury is about the details and the people, not marble stones or Ipads in your room. It's about people who care about you!||You are doing an amazing job! We wish the best of lucks! Thanks for looking after us. ||The only not so possitve thing is that they have free wifi but it can be a little slow in the...
Read moreA small but wonderful hotel in Circasia. This hotel is located in the small town of Circasia. Although only 20 rooms, each is incredibly clean. Room rate include any hotel tax. Expect a great breakfast each morning. Breakfast is served between 7am-10am daily. Lastly, located in proximity are 2 infamous hot springs, national Parque del Cafe, and a wonderful town called Salento. Hotel staff is first class and those living in this area are a wonderful bunch of folks. My only concern when leaving was to consider how soon will the return trip be. Our six year old son suggested tomorrow for the...
Read moreI stayed here in March 2015. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. The lady in charge was super organised and everything was ready when I arrived. No issues with the booking or payments Etc. The room was modern and beyond clean. The terrace garden area was like something from a movie.... If I hadn't been on a tight schedule I would have stayed longer and I will most definitely be back on return to Colombia.......
