Hotel MS San Luis Village Beach House — Hotel in Saint Andrew

This place is pure dissaater! All pictures on their web site are FAKE, made by computer and filters! Its run down, terrible dirty, very poorly managed place with terrible food, lazy staff and total neglicence! Booked room with 4 beds and 2 separate rooms as we had a lot of luggage and needed space but the staff didnt care and put us into the terribly small one double bed room two hrs after the check in hour! The room has a joke of a bath room, sink was about 30 cm and it was hard to move in the bathroom how small it was! No one speaks a word of English so to try to solve anything with the staff is mission impossible! The room had broken lock at the french window so we had zero security again when addressed the problem no one cared! After massive complaints via google translator they promised to give us the room we paid for the next day. The breakfast was really really poor and bad quality but the shock at the state of the beach! It was heavily littered by seawead with full of garbage in it and no one seemed to take any notice of it! After another massive complain they reluctantly did some swiping but it was joke of an effort! The staff is so lazy, they were either hiding somewhere or talking and laughing around the bar. They put blasting terrible music on and even we begged several times to put it down a bit they just ignored us or laughted at our face even though we were just the two of us at the beach at some point! The beach was dirty the whole stay! And full but really big number of stray dog, staff does not care to scare them away! Honestly never seen anywhere such awfull negligent service!|When they gave us the room we orriginally ordered and paid for the main french window lock was also broken so the window was sealed instead of repaired so even though one pays for ocean view one can not open the window and enjoy it! Again it took massive strugle to make them repair it the next day but the quality of everyting in the place including the new lock at the door was just soo poor its really wonder the whole place does not fell apart!! Also cleaning is absolutely bad, windows are so dirty one can not see outside. Floor is swiped so bad everywhere are dirty marks and we only had cold watter in the shower for the entire stay. Several times asked to fill the fridge with watter again totally ignored! |And the price for this horrific experience is not cheap! We paid for 6 nights over 1400USD!!! We were trying to negotiate discount for such terrible stay but they were hiding from us and didnt want to hear of it! Not to mention that wifi does not work most of the time!!|If you CAN STAY AWAY!! Its pure awfull!! This place should be taken out...

After reading mostly poor reviews on the Hotel MS, I decided most of them were petty and unrealistic in what they thought was bad about the place. I was wrong. The experience started when we showed up at 1pm and were told check in was 3pm pm on the dot, no earlier. Come 3pm we're told our room wasn't ready! We had to wait another 30 minutes to check in. We were the only people checking in and the hotel was mostly empty. The beach was covered in trash and seaweed, they made no effort to keep it clean. There were stray dogs wondering the beach as well, in addition, these stray dogs liked to hang out in the hotels restaurant and be fed by inconsiderate guests. Our room had a sliding glass door that couldn't be locked, anyone could have walked up and let themselves in. In my opinion this was an unacceptable security risk. I ended up shoving a dresser drawer on the track so it couldn't be opened. Then there was the water....the shower and sink water had the scent of sewage in it. We opted to go without showers during our stay for fear of what we were actually bathing in. The staff in the restaurant really did work hard, they were clearly under staffed and at one point one of the girls who was off shift showed up to help. In the end, we checked out a day early. The front desk worker asked if we had an issue with the hotel and we said yes. We were met with silence, indicating they really didn't care. We paid 150 dollars a night for this place and ended up eating a nights worth just to get away. The worst part of all of this was we moved to a luxury hotel for 50 dollars more a night, so you're really not saving any money by going to Hotel MS. Do yourself a favor, stay away...
