La Gloria Hotel — Hotel in Santa Cruz de Mompóx

I stayed here for 3 days and had a lovely time. Everyone who works here is so kind and helpful. Sandra, the cook, makes amazing food and always has a lovely smile on her face. I would recommend any of the natural juices they have! The rooms were clean and spacious. The air conditioning unit is a life saver with the Mompóx heat, and there’s also a fan in the room as well. The balcony’s are beautiful, we had rooms in the back over the pool and it’s a great place to relax. The pool is a great size and the pool chairs are very comfortable. Rafael, one of the men at the front desk is very kind and helpful as well. He and the other men who are at the front desk helped us with anything we needed. They would help us get rides on TukTuks, organized for a bike tour with Carlos (also a very kind man), and always treated us with kindness and respect. This is a great place for children as well, my 5 little cousins loved it here and it’s very safe to let them roam around and play by themselves in the hotel. My younger brother locked himself out of his room and they were very helpful, kind, and respectful. Moreover, there is a very friendly cat on the property who loves pets. This Hotel is Beautiful, it has comfortable rooms with new furnitures, the bed is delicious, silent air conditioning , The balcony has a view of a big tree that has squirrels, there is a car park, there is a small pool but, it is enough for relax. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, all very friendly and always ready to serve. The hotel doesn't have an elevator and all rooms are on the second floor; the hotel is close to the river and you can to walk and to visit other places of interest such as restaurants and filigree jewelry ; Breakfast is incluided, it has a restaurant with few options but...

I'm on a cultural tour of Colombia's Caribbean coastal regions. Mompox is a charming town on the Rio Magdalena. Hotel La Gloria is an amazing find just a block or so from the historic district and two blocks from the riverfront promenade. New construction that is nonetheless respectful of the local architecture, very stylish, comfortable and sparkling clean. Nice, cooked breakfast included....
