Hacienda Santa Clara — Hotel in Santa Rosa de Cabal

We just had a *VERY SEVERE SAFETY INCIDENT *. My 2y old son and I were enjoying the swings and a 200lbs branch felt a couple of meters away from our heads. Immediately we tried to contact the owners to explain the situation and receive a very poor excuse on why this happened. As I pointed out that all facilities should be secured, Specially for infants that around thinking and enjoy the green areas, I was given the number of a Manager “FELIPE ECHEVERRY”. I tried to call with no answer and try to leave a message with no success. The fact that the staff could not care less about this incident and listen to my suggestions of checking and cutting all dry branches of the trees above; shows how much they care about the people visiting and the guests. They rather take the easy way out and blame nature on an incident that is perfectly preventable. I tried to take pictures to show the manager the severity of the incident and I was forbidden to do so, immediately they call the staff and clean up all the branches. I highly alert all bystanders of the dangers of this place and the fact that these people clearly don’t care about the safety of their guests.

Acabamos de tener un * INCIDENTE DE SEGURIDAD MUY SEVERO *. Mi hijo de 2 años y yo estábamos disfrutando de los columpios y una rama de 200 libras callo a un par de metros de nuestras cabezas. Inmediatamente tratamos de contactar a los propietarios para explicarles la situación y recibimos una excusa muy pobre de por qué sucedió esto. Como señalé que todas las instalaciones deben estar aseguradas, especialmente para los bebés que piensan y disfrutan de las áreas verdes, me dieron el número de un gerente "FELIPE ECHEVERRY". Traté de llamar sin respuesta e intenté dejar un mensaje sin éxito. El hecho de que el personal no podría preocuparse menos por este incidente y escuchar mis sugerencias de revisar y cortar todas las ramas secas de los árboles de arriba; muestra cuánto se preocupan por las personas que visitan y los invitados. We had not planned to stay here but a landslide blocked the way to our original destination. Another group was also effected by the slide and ended up here as well. In other words Felipe was slammed with an unexpected full house. It could have been a disaster but Felipe and his staff did a great job. Among other things, when he learned that I really like to sample local cuisine he fixed a great mix platter of local sausages etc. for us. It was excellent. The hotel is nicely set up and the rooms while modestly furnished are excellent. There is a covered wrap-around porch along the second floor with very comfortable chairs. Nice place to savor a drink and relax. We had a great time. Felipe continued to be accommodating by fixing us a "to-go" breakfast since we were planning to leave for a morning of birding at 4:30 AM. From the moment we arrived our stay was heaven. Felipe was the perfect host, driving us up to the springs and collecting us whenever we wanted (which was so convenient!), making sure at every point of our stay that we were having a wonderful time, recommending delicious restaurants, and finding someone to drive us 6 hours to Medellin at last minutes notice.||||The accommodation is so peaceful, and the restaurant is delicious (try the ribs!). You could see the restaurant was a popular spot as it was always busy at lunchtime. ||||If you can, spend a day relaxing in the jacuzzi and steam room with friends, we had a great day chilling out in there and the staff were so kind as to keep coming up with refreshing beverages for us to sip on! ||||Thanks so much to Felipe again for making our stay at Santa Rosa wonderful, we would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a great hotel in the area. ||||Regards,||Libby, Paddy, Callo, Ryan...
