We stayed two nights in this hotel during our roundtrip in Colombia with our children aged 7, 5 and 3.||The hotel arranged for one room with a double bed and three single beds. For us this was perfect and still we did not have the feeling that the room was too full. No problem to store the luggage and still move around the beds without tripping over something, if that's even possible with three young children ;)||The bathroom looked great with waterbassin, showerhead and taps carved out of I suppose local sandstone. And all functional! The shower was great... hot water and lots of waterpressure, I could have stayed under it for ages.||Staff was both friendly and helpful. When we arrived the room was not ready so we were told to wait in the restaurant where we had a very good lunch. At some point we were told the room was ready, all the luggage was already there. During check-in we lost a camelbak waterbottle and the day after it was returned to us.||The swimming pool is a nice place to relax in the afternoon. It is clean and there is enough space to either lie or sit while the kids are playing in the water. It also has a jaccuzi, a sauna and at some times massage facilities. We did not use them, but it all looked clean.||The restaurant serves a nice breakfast with eggs of your choice, bread, juice, coffee or hot chocolate. Service is very friendly and fast and the food is great. The scrambled eggs are not just thrown on your plate but nicely put there in a neat circle. But again food is great. We also had a lunch and dinner in the restaurant and it just confirms what is mentioned before about breakfast. Very friendly and fast service and really great food. As a lunch item I would recommend the Hicasua burger.||All in all, there is actually nothing I could think of that could be better. We had a great time during our stay, everything just worked as it was supposed to work and with a friendly and helpful staff it made our stay perfect. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend everybody else to stay here while...
Read moreIf you want to sleep beyond dawn, look elsewhere. A few roosters in love with their own voices started cockadoodling in the wee hours and kept it up throughout morning. Hotel did not have any English speaker on its staff (the one guy designated English speaker, we later learned, was on holiday). Didn't do us much good as we were originally shuffled off to one room with a solid wall two feet from the window and the other (which you had to get to by walking squeezing behind the reception desk was complete with a bulldozer going at it a 7pm on a Sunday). Staff was friendly and did best to accommodate us (using an online translator that just aggravating our communication problems). Finally got a third room, but didn't matter, bottom line, because the rooster noises pervaded the whole place. Also didn't help that we had only one towel, one washcloth, no chairs and no glasses to begin with. Room was really too cramped for chairs anyway. The front desk guy asked our guide (who came the next day) about getting English lessons to improve his marketability and performance. He isa good young guy but couldn't avert a rather...
Read moreMy fiancé and I spent 5 days in the hotel, is a beautiful place, but a few things we didn't like at all, we arrived early morning, asked for activities recommendations, everything was ok. In the afternoon after coming back to ask for the prices they told us the options and prices we said "If we want to do something we will let you know, thank you" then we went to our room, the main light bulb wasn't working (we asked them to fix it) they never did...in our 3rd day, our shampoo was gone, we asked them nicely for more (4 times) until we had to be a bit harder on them to get it, always since we asked for activities suggesting they started "pushing us" to get them even when we told them we were not fully interested because we found more activities that we would enjoy better, so even the places where we could hire the activities the hotel recommended called us on our phone to ask when we would take them. |Other than that, he hotel was beautiful, the food was ok, and a bit pricey...
