This hotel is convenient for the refinery - right outside one of its entrance gates. But other than its useful location (if the refinery is where you are going), it is hard to say nice things about it.||My room for four nights was very stark. No pictures on the wall, no creature comforts. Mini bar not restocked once. And really noisy (from refinery in/out traffic pretty much all night).||The restaurant was the worst I can recall. Didn’t open for breakfast on time, horrid looking scrambled eggs, watery orange juice. When I went for dinner (just once - didn’t go again), there was no menu. I was shown an iPhone screen and invited to choose from “one word” / translated selections.||The truth is that there may not be too much hotel choice in town - but as I suggested, I’d definitely try somewhere else...

Read moreThe main advantage of this hotel is that it is directly in front of the entrance to the Ecopetrol refinery, thereby easing arrival to your 7 a.m. (or before!) meeting... Also, the staff was friendly, rooms were nice enough, air conditioning cool, and breakfast acceptable. The view from the window... well, it's an industrial city! For dinner one option is to visit the Parque a la Vida for the many casual but tasty fast food options...
