A paradise of a place to stay for families, very relaxed setting and modern villas with air conditioning. Short stroll to the sandy beach across the road, which happens to be a marine reserve with lots of marine life in pristine waters. LBV provides quality free snorkels, reef shoes, fins, kayaks and life jackets for their guests which saved us hundreds of dollars over the week on equipment hire, all cleaned daily. The in-house pool is extremely clean and well set with sun loungers and large umbrella for shade if needed, a place we visited daily after our daily snorkel in the sea. As advertised, breakfast is included, simple buffet but sufficient, tropical fresh and canned fruit, cereal, bread and spreads with tea and coffee or juice. Staff were great, extremely friendly and helpful. One helped us open coconuts fallen from the tree many times through the week. The resident dog Coco was also friendly and pretty much moped around the whole time getting petted by every single person walking past. A tip for families going to Rarotonga, get a rental car, book one in advance, cost is around $30-$40nzd per day and you will not regret it. While there are a couple of restaurants close by, shops are spread out through the island and will not be pleasant to walk to under the blazing sun. The are no TVs in the villas which means you'll have to actually do something to stay entertained, did I mention there are free snorkel and kayaking equipment usable at the guests discretion in the endless aquarium just across the road? There is reasonable paid wifi coverage, but can be expensive unless there is a special deal on. There is only one ISP on the island so it is the same for most if not all the resorts/hotels/holiday homes. Dogs and chickens pretty much roam freely on the island but dogs are all friendly to people and chase the chickens around. The roosters will cukoo all hours but didn't really bother us, if you think that will bother you then bring ear plugs. This place was great value for money and was an unforgettable stay for my family.

We had an incredible stay at Lagoon Breeze Villas, and the amazing team truly made it feel special. Naomi was so helpful and patient with our endless questions, and the housekeeping staff brought such a warm, positive energy every day. One of the highlights came one morning when one of the owners personally greeted guests at breakfast—something we’ve never experienced before and deeply appreciated. Despite planning our trip fairly last-minute, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a larger room, which was such a treat after our long journey. Airport shuttle transfers were seamless and punctual, making our arrival and departure stress-free. The location was exactly what we were looking for—peaceful and quiet, yet only a short bus ride from all the action. We rented bikes from Adventure Cook Islands just down the street, which made it easy to explore the nearby area. In the other direction, there’s a convenient gas station for snacks and drinks, and just a bit farther down the road is Shipwreck Hut Bar & Grill—super fun and worth a visit! There’s excellent snorkeling directly across the street in front of The Rarotongan, where we saw tons of fish. We also ventured a bit further down the coast and found great snorkeling spots all along the way. Definitely check out Fruits of Rarotonga if you're looking for vibrant marine life. Pro tip: Pay attention to the clockwise and anti-clockwise bus routes! Each evening, we took the 4:45 bus to Muri Beach to explore the night markets, then stopped by Charlie’s on the way back to the resort—perfect end to our nights. This trip was beyond amazing, and I genuinely believe the team at Lagoon Breeze Villas played a huge role in making it such a memorable experience. Can’t recommend them enough!

Had an awesome 5 night stay here with my girlfriend. Rooms were spacious and decorated nicely. The entire villa was clean and had plenty of options if you needed to cool down (AC, ceiling fans, slatted windows) which was a life saver. Shower was also noteworthy. Really nice having the option to get bed linen and towels replaced daily as well as getting a clean of the villa too. Unbeknownst to us there was free snorkeling gear as well as 3 kayaks for guests to use free of charge! We both used this service daily haha. The complementary breakfast was great too and well worth waking up for, a good variety of fruits, cereals, juice, toast and coffee. Free wifi is available near the pool/reception which can be useful to post all the wonderful photos you’ll take. I like how there was no wifi in the rooms as it encouraged you to look around and truly enjoy being on island time. Finally, they also have washing facilities for guests to use, however It is only 1 drier/washing machine so may need to break down loads for bigger groups. Would 100% come back here to stay and have mentioned to my family and friends to book here if they are ever in Rarotonga. Awesome work team! wish I could rate higher than 5 stars, keep it up 🇳🇿🇨🇰

We had a delightful 7-day stay at Lagoon Breeze, and here’s what stood out to us:

Pros:

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Daily towel changes were a lovely touch and very convenient. The pool was great for relaxing, and we enjoyed spending time there. The breakfast area was pleasant, and breakfast was included—nice bonus! Loved having barbecue grills available for some casual dining. The location is super handy, just a quick 15-minute drive from the airport. Free snorkeling gear was a nice perk, though it’s a bit well-loved. The master bedroom had air conditioning, which was a lifesaver on hot days. The bathroom was large and well-equipped. The kitchen had all the basics for those who like to cook their own meals.

Cons:

If you're traveling with family, be aware that not all rooms have air conditioning throughout. Our room only had A/C in the master bedroom, which might be uncomfortable for others in the second room, especially in the heat. Wi-Fi isn’t available in the rooms; it’s only accessible in common areas like the pool or reception, which might be inconvenient if you need to work. Breakfast was decent but could use a bit more variety, especially with fruits. It was the same selection every day, and adding something like a boiled egg would be a nice touch.

Overall, we had a wonderful time! If you go in with the right expectations, you’ll likely enjoy your stay as...
