Was planning to do 10 dives but sadly woke up on day 4 (after doing 6 dives) feeling ill (headache, blocked nose, sore throat, coughing...). Despite booking in another 4 dives was told that because I didn't cancel the day before I would need to pay $40. I get that that is their policy, but sometimes when you place policy over people you lose people, especially considering I was physically unwell and had booked in another 4 dives...the team were nice and we had a couple of good dives but I leave with a sour taste sadly...

RESPONSE: sadly the response from the owner (poor customer sensibiltiy/empathy) is the reason I felt the need to leave this review (have subtracted an additional star as a result). I "canceled" the trip as I was sick (in large part due to the previous day's dive...) and came to the shop early to let you know as soon as I could...it's not as if I planned this to screw you over and would have rather been diving than at home recovering. Also, I get the need for a cancellation policy, I just don't understand the lack of flexibility nor why you would chose to punish me $40 when I was legitimatelly not well and lose out on an addtional $270 you would have got had I completed the other 4 dives as planned...As for paying the deposit, I paid exactly what I was asked???...at no point did anyone in your shop ask me to come and pay anything after the initial deposit, and Carina said to settle everything at the end...not sure where your comment comes from or why you try to make it sound like I was trying to avoid paying? We booked to hire a scooter here for two to share for the week via internet. Easy pick up and drop off and scooter worked perfectly. I also booked to do a refresher scuba session and a 2 dive trip 2 days later. Very friendly and professional managers and staff. Very helpful and attentive to everyone doing the dives. Worth it doing the refresher as there is always a few things I forget. Plus whilst on refresher dive in the lagoon there is lots to see and om this dive got to see a Turtle, which is always special. The two scuba dives outside the lagoon we had really good and safe equipement. The dives were at two different spots and where both very different in underwater terrain. The wreck dive was very interesting to explore and being shallower allowed a little longer for the dive. Felt in safe hands the entire time and lots of fun too. I don’t hesitate to recommend Adventure Cook...

Enjoyed seeing lots of healthy coral, listening to the whales (only saw them from the boat but heard them while diving), and beautiful marine life during 2 different days of diving with Patrick and Gary. Booking and communicating with Patrick before the visit was quick and easy. Appreciated the small group and had no issues with my rental equipment. The last dive was a bit of a let down after being talked up: we were told there was a 99% chance to see a school of eagle rays after swimming through a cave and apparently we joined the 1% that day... not a ray in sight. Obviously out of the control of the guide, but there wasn't a whole lot more to see when rest of the dive was in the same area as the first...
