Read moreThis place would have earned 5 stars if it hadn’t had mold. The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were nice and friendly. Breakfast in the garden surrounded by nature with many types of birds was wonderful. Location is very convenient; only 30 min away from the waterfall. We booked 2 rooms and both had mold on the wall and a very strong smell. We arrived at night and it was already too late when we noticed the mold; receptionist already left for the day. We talked to another guest and he said all rooms had mold and there was nothing the hotel can do due to high humidity in the area. We only stayed 1 night so we thought it wouldn’t be a huge issue. We kept the door open as long as possible and had AC fan on to air out the smell. My little boy started to cough and sneeze in the middle of the night. The he started to have runny nose and 40C fever and felt lethargic. We had to take him to the hospital. Do not stay here for the sake of your health. They could have installed exhaust fan, dehumidifier, or do something reduce humidity, but they...
Read moreCan’t believe this place hasn’t 5 star rating. A colonial dream, in a quiet town at a 12 minute drive from the Tenorio National Park. We were welcomed by Lorena, a caring and lovely lady who, first thing, asked if we wanted to see a sloth. What?!?! Yes, exactly, a sloth was hanging in the garden, and it was our first in the whole trip. Then she showed us also a blue jeans frog. Our room was huge, super clean and aesthetically taken care of. Paintings on the walls, a nice bed set, te and coffee set, nice bathroom set. I mean, everything you would expect from a 4 star hotel. The price is insane, and shows how stepping out of the most touristy routes is always a good choice. Breakfast is served in the garden and cooked right there by Lorena. Can’t thank her enough. Would go back and spend some days just relaxing in the...
