Arriving in the late evening. Reception closed at 8 o'clock. The had sent instruction to find my room.
Arriving and it was pitch dark and I had to climb up to my room from the parking with all my luggage. No internet, so I was very disappointed. I complained the day after to the girl in the reception.
She gave me a room close to the reception and I got WIFI in my room, a must when you are bird watching for bird ID etc.
The service from the reception was second to none and suddenly I really enjoyed my stay.
The bed was super comfy and the only complains I have about the room is the desk. It says in the description that there is a desk.
Only a round kitchen table and there are no rest for your arms with the round edge while working with your laptop.
She arranged birding tours and they helped with everything that I could ever need. Very helpful.
Restaurant with a good selection of food.
But they must get WIFI in all the rooms and to get some lightning at the properties. Leaving for bird watching at 5 o'clock in the morning and it is next to impossible to find your way to the parking.
And if you come to stay, confirm the NETWORK to get the correct SIM card. There is a tower and good reception, but only one network operator in the mountains.
I can recommend this place if you come...
Read morePicturesque setting in a beautiful forest valley that is only accessible by a very narrow and at times scary road, often single file. But the area is incredibly rewarding for bird and wildlife spotters as there is lots to visit in the valley. There are a number of hotels here and this is one of them. It is a lovely setting with trees and flowers everywhere and a nearby river. The accommodation varies from hillside bungalow type accommodation to ones nearer the main reception and restaurant area that are like small apartments with bedrooms often looking out to the forest. The rooms were clean and smart and bathroom was too. Bed was comfortable but room lacked heating or a/c so was disappointing for the stay. No pool or entertainment so apart from sitting around the bar area it was really about exploring and perhaps going on trips nearby. ||Although we were not bird watchers it was the thing to do and we had several walks out looking. You won’t be alone as there are many who are here doing the same. ||The reception has a small shop but the main feature here is the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. And a small bar here too. We visited late season and the hotel seemed to be running with not enough staff. The WiFi wasn’t great outside the main...
Read moreStayed here for one night as part of a group tour of 11 people. The hotel itself is lovely set in beautiful grounds that are well maintained. BUT... this was the last night of our tour, there was only one waitress working in the bar and serving in the restaurant from about 3pm. At around 7.20pm our tour manager informed us that, because it was low season and the hotel had limited staff, the bar would be shut from 8pm. This meant the only option for us was to spend the night in our rooms, without wi-fi and without being able to socialise on our last night. or sit outside in the cold and lasing rain! After much anger from us it was agreed the bar would remain open until 9.30pm. The next morning the same one waitress was serving us all breakfast on her own. Natalia is definitely the star of that particular show!||Also, the track down to some of the rooms is very uneven and quite treacherous in the dark and rain. Security lighting only comes on as you get to it, leaving you in the dark most of the walk.||If the hotel is going to take group bookings from tour companies they should ensure they are adequately staffed to deal with the group, not expect everyone to go to bed at 8pm! ...
