Orígenes Lodge — Hotel in Jacó

Room was nice, but when we left we Packed up all our stuff and headed out the gate. My husband took my phone up front and accidentally left it up there. We ran to get breakfast and when we returned they said they hadn’t seen it. They asked us to double check the room but we knew there was nothing in there. But I went in and looked anyway, knowing it was left up front. I could tell the man, that I think is in charge was lying to me. I told him we were going to find it with a location “alarm” that i had on my husbands phone. So we sat back in my car. The man went back up to his little hut came back out and said “OH! I found Your phone it was on the floor in the bathroom in your room!” We knew he had lied. We left and we’re planning to never return. This place was such a disappointment, stayed for about 6 months. The final two weeks the landlord left our toilet broken for two weeks. I asked for a small reduction in rent ($75 from $800) that month and he refused, told us we should leave. I was able to make other arrangements within a week, told him we needed an extra day to pack up because my 71 year old mother was having health issues and he refused.

Looked more for people that will stay for longer time. So laid-back i had to wait in front of the place about 1 hour longer than check-in time as nobody was opening the door.
