We enjoyed ourselves so much in August 2022 that we had to come back with friends in June 2023. (And we already plan to come back again in 2024!) I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience staying with Odir and Dailín. The hand-crafted treehouses are spectacular! They were just starting on the pavilion when we stayed in 2022. But they had two new treehouses for us by our second visit this year! We’ve stayed in Tai and Plantano treehouses, and our friends stayed in Tenerio. So I can definitively say that they are all great! The king beds are firm but very comfortable. (Coming from someone with serious opinions about beds! 😆) The bathrooms include a western toilet, sink, and tiled shower. All of your linens are provided. They’ve done a great job getting reliable power and wi-fi to all of the rooms. The rooms have fans with no A/C, but don’t let that stand in your way! I have MS (very heat sensitive) and hot flashes, yet I still slept comfortably for 4 nights! I recommend leaving the windows open for a cross breeze at night. You won’t get any bugs inside as long as you don’t leave any lights on. It also helps not to overdo A/C in your rental car during the day. You’ll be shocked at how quickly your body acclimates! Breakfast is included, and Dailín is a great cook! She was able to accommodate special food requirements for our friends without sacrificing flavor. You should definitely plan to participate in some of the tours they offer. We’ve done the tubing, River Safari, and Chocolate Tours. Each one was better than the last. I can’t wait to try something new next year! More than anything, the personal relationships that Odir has with all of the local residents is heartwarming. We felt like family everywhere we went. That is the biggest reason we keep...
Read moreAbsolutely loved staying here! The Almedro treehouse is fabulous - spacious, clean, minimalist in design, but very comfortable. We loved our time here. The owner, Odir, is very friendly and helpful. Through his tour company, we arranged a 2 hr tubing tour down the Rio Celeste which was a lot of fun for us. My 12 yr old loved it. Great value for the money. Would love to visit again and stay longer next time. The sounds of the birds, amphibians and insects was wonderful to fall asleep/wake up to. We saw hummingbirds, toucans, a sloth, frogs, and other birds in a...
Read moreWe've stayed at the treehouses twice already. Sleeping amidst a lush forest, under the starlight, listening to the sound of the stream water running underneath our house is just hard to beat. But the best part is the warmness and hospitality of Odir and his team. They're always there, cooking delicious local food and sharing with their guests. Odir is a trained and experienced guide who knows a lot about the area, so I recommend you hire him to be your local guide. We've also gone tubing on Celeste River twice, which is a must-do. A well-rounded...
