I recently had the pleasure of staying at Destino Hotel & Hot Springs in Costa Rica, and it was truly one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how beautifully the hotel blends into the surrounding natural landscape. The property is nestled in a quiet, lush area, creating a peaceful and immersive atmosphere that makes you feel connected to nature.

The Hot Springs and Amenities: The hot springs were absolutely incredible — the perfect temperature and so calming. Soaking in them while surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest was magical. The hotel also has two outdoor pools and a hot tub, which were well-maintained and never too crowded.

Rooms and Comfort: My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with large windows overlooking the lush greenery. The bed was comfortable, and the attention to detail in the decor made it feel luxurious yet natural.

Dining: The on-site restaurant was a highlight of the trip. The food was fresh and delicious, featuring local ingredients and creative dishes. The service was top-notch — the staff were friendly and genuinely attentive without being intrusive.

Activities: Destino Hotel offers plenty of activities, from nature walks and birdwatching to more adventurous options like tubing down the nearby river. I particularly enjoyed the yoga sessions held in the open-air pavilion — it was the perfect way to start the day.

Service and Atmosphere: What really sets Destino apart is the warm and welcoming staff. Everyone went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed and to provide recommendations for things to see and do in the area.

I spent two great weeks at Destino Rio Blanco. Plenty to do onsite with hiking, meditation, walks down to the river, and soaking in the personal hot tub filled with volcanic hot water fresh every day. The New Year's Party at the resort with a regional rodeo and live band was fantastic - a lifetime highlight! Our day pass to the neighboring Rio Perdido Resort was a fantastic experience, too.
