First of all, this hotel is not in Nosara, but the small beach Garza. Maybe they use Nosara in the name to trick people into coming there?||||Warning: if you want a comfortable stay, you should not come here. Actually I was really surprised when I got here, because the rating is so good.. The only thing I can think of, is that the twenty-somethings coming here for the waves are less concerned about water in the shower and non-bumpy mattresses than I am. ||||Seriously, we had NO WATER AT ALL the first days of our stay. At first the manager (Juri) told us it was because of the water shortage and that the government cut off the water. When asking people other places, we found out that this is only half true. Then he switched his explanation - it was low pressure and he was working on it. Well, with only a four day stay, we figured he wouldn't go out of his way to help us. But then, when asking of getting a room on the first floor where pressure should be better, we had water the entire last day! I have never been more grateful for a shower, for flushing the toilet and the possibility to wash my hands. ||||The cleaning was not good. Our toilet started smelling badly the last days, so it went from bad to worse staying in the bathroom. The toilet didn't even have a toilet seat (!), which seemed minor when having no water. ||||The beds and mattresses are OLD and lumpy. Every night I did my best not to fall into the "hole" in the middle of my bed. ||||You probably think I have nothing positive to say, but the food is actually quite good. I can absolutely recommend the morning coffee with a fruit plate and the Italian cuisine served at lunch and dinner. ||||So what I am saying is, basically, don't stay here if you want a comfortable stay, but do come for the food. ||||PS: I have been traveling around Costa Rica, but I haven't found any lodging as poor as this one. It is...
Read moreCarlos really cared a lot about us since our flight was cancelled and he did everything to adapt to our new dates and needs.||When we arrived a great family with a young daughter greeted us. We stayed for 12 days in the apartment with kitchen and everything we cared for was taken care of.||In the evening we sometimes hung out and always had a great time together. ||||Some say the location is too far away from the surf. ||But we needed under 15 Minutes with the car to the main break in Guiones. And the Beach in Nosara is beautiful for swimming and kids. So it is the perfect mix next to the loud Guiones. ||And if the sun was too high we just jumped into the pool and relaxed there.||||||In the end we extended to 12 days and would have even stayed longer. The lifestyle in the small village is really true to an Tico homestyle and if you want to experience how life can be in Costa Rica, this is the place.||||||We will come back. ||Thanks...
