Our one-night escape to El Rinconcito Verde, accompanied by our nieces and nephews, painted a canvas of delightful experiences. Let's delve into the details of our memorable stay.

As we stepped into our rooms, convenience and spotlessness greeted us. The beds offered the restful slumber we needed, while the thoughtful provision of a coffee and tea setup added an extra layer of comfort. The in-room safe contributed to our peace of mind. An intriguing side note was the doors, which had their own rhythm of opening and closing, and the lock's unique mechanics lent an element of charm.

Yet, the real star of El Rinconcito Verde's show was the expansive garden expanse. With views stretching across the valley to the majestic mountains, the panorama was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Wandering through this verdant sanctuary offered a calming respite that elevated the overall charm of our stay.

Now, onto breakfast—a cornerstone of every memorable stay. Our expectations were exceeded. Complimentary in our package, the breakfast spread was substantial and satisfying, equipping us with energy to launch into our day.

The personnel at El Rinconcito Verde were not only warm and welcoming but also professionally attuned to our needs. Their attentive service contributed to the wholesome ambiance of the place. And let's not overlook the delightful inclusion of a swimming pool—a cool haven that provided respite from the day's warmth.

However, what truly set El Rinconcito Verde apart was the hidden treasure of a jacuzzi—inviting relaxation with a view. Nestled amidst the awe-inspiring scenery of the valley and mountains, the jacuzzi offered a memorable way to unwind.

In sum, our stay at El Rinconcito Verde was a comprehensive retreat that covered all bases. Despite the playful door dynamics, the cozy rooms, captivating garden panoramas, satisfying breakfast, refreshing pool, and the added allure of the jacuzzi with its panoramic view, all combined for a remarkable experience. With amiable staff and a range of amenities, El Rinconcito Verde stands as a choice worth considering for those who seek relaxation enveloped in...

Rinconcito Verde is a quaint, little bed and breakfast between Ujarras and Paraiso. The owner is great as are the people working here. We stayed a few nights in this location. A few things to note (please read):||- The location has a lot of road noise, as it is situated on the main road. ||- The office is not operational 24 hours; therefore, if you need something, ask as soon as you see a person (towels appear to be in short supply)||- There are dogs on the property (typical for the area). They all appear friendly, but good to note if allergic ||- The beds are not high quality; recommend a lot of stretching before and after sleeping ||- The water pressure is very low; for women, washing your hair is next to impossible. Water also seems to be absent in the mornings...bring your own bottled water to wash hands and brush teeth just in case||- The location is significantly colder in temperature than surrounding cities||- There is no heat or AC in the rooms||- The location is difficult to get to and from without a car. If you are planning any activities in the region, my suggestion is to rent a car as Uber is hit and miss||- the rooms have a kitchenette; good to note as you may need to use. There are not many restaurants within walking proximity ||- walking to / from other locations can be difficult/dangerous, as the main street is busy||- there are no closets or storage in the rooms||Also to note:||- when you drive into the property (after the gate), you may be surprised as the property does not appear to be maintained ||- overall, if you are looking for a nice property with amenities and a quiet stay, this may not be for you||- as mentioned earlier, a car is very important at this location ||- the dining area where breakfast is served has a...

Staff was very pleasant, breakfast was tasty from the 4 options. Felt safe and secure. They recommended a nearby restaurant for dinner that was great (El Rincon) Great view of the valley and hills.||||Disliked · Facility looks to be under renovation in places: new patio door and most windows, but the bath window was poor, didn't close fully and faced the hilly road where trucks very loudly struggled to climb or geared down to slow their downhill trip throughout the night. Bath shower featured a new combo shower unit, but the hole from the old shower head and spout were not plugged, leaving many small flies in the shower. Paths looked to be overgrown somewhat, in comparison to the 5 other stops in our Costa Rica visit. Maybe due to lack of business/attention due to covid situation, but currently the property was not someplace we...

We stumbled upon this place while looking in Cartago… this is has to be a secret gem! Not only is it affordable but it is quite possibly the most romantic hotel we’ve ever stayed. Overlooking a lush valley and lake this hotel is a perfect home base for adventure and intimacy. We enjoyed local waterfalls and volcanos during the day and wound down with a bottle of wine in the hotel’s scenic bathtub. Comfortable bed, exquisite shower and bathroom, coffee maker and candles provided in the room. We’ll say it again- what a gem! Definitely a place worth visiting!

Pictures doesn’t do this place justice, definitely something that needs to be experienced in person. The hospitality was superb and super helpful. Ps. if traveling to this location and need a taxi, call ahead and ask for Don Mario’s number (best rates and advise).
