This hotel is very unique with rock and wooden rooms. There is a beautiful wooden restaurant upstairs with good large portions of food and views of the mountain and river. There is a trail that goes down through a bamboo forest to the a crystal clear river below. The hotel is very near Chirripo and Cloudbridge. Some of the rooms are very pretty while others are dark. They leave the rooms open so we peaked in each one. Unfortunately, we reserved #3 which had the right number of beds for our family and was bright and beautiful and we were moved to a bigger but much darker and less cozy room because the guests in our room had decided to stay longer. Night was approaching and the place was't open but Louis opened up for us, cooked dinner and set us up with rooms. Talk about hospitality, even with the language barrier, warm as could be. ||Don't expect the best shower, lighting or beds here but do expect the most unique accommodations and ambiance anywhere. Think rustic cabin/underground cavern/19th century/creepy thriller movie rolled into one. Wood, rocks and stone everywhere. Warm friendly staff and unbeatable vistas from the restaurant.||The rooms are artistically eclectic and built on different levels of the the stone cliff above the river.
