I wouldn’t stay again if someone paid me. They advertise themselves as a spa hotel, so after a couple weeks of intense hiking, I came a day before my 30 hour travel home, spend a couple hundred dollars for taxis and the room, for the sole reason of getting a massage and soaking in a bath. I confirmed twice that my room was with a bath and didn’t get a clear answer regardless the massage so I figured would be able to book a slot when I arrive, only to discover they stopped with massages since Covid and not only was the bath non functional, the water pressure was so bad, I couldn’t even shower. I was trying to communicate with the manager (who wasn’t there) but she was of absolute no assistance, her attitude was aloof and I felt complete disregard for this ridiculous situation. In the morning they offered me a different room but it was also non functional. I absolutely wish I never stepped foot in this place. They completely ruined the...
Read moreBooked by tour company Exodus for the start and last night of tour of Costa Rica. The rooms we had, 18 and 7 looked very similar and were clean with just one seat outside which is odd when the rooms had a double and single bed, so I had to take a stool or chair from inside if we both wanted to sit outside. ||NB Rooms 6 to 12 roughly on the left are best avoided if you can, ask for a room to the right roughly 14 - 20… we were in room 7 and there was a lot of banging and crashing from 0200 to 0430 ish accompanied by dogs barking to the back and seemingly on the roof, not in the hotels control but I would only have a higher number room if staying again as they back onto land not a property.||The staff are all lovely and helpful. The food simple Cuban food but nice. Wine and beer are available. As is WiFi. A lovely swimming pool. Two other restaurants within a...
Read moreFantastic little overnight stay! My wife and I stayed here for one night after flying into San Jose. Was an easy 10 minute drive from airport. Very cute little hotel. Rooms are small but adorable, with local art on the walls. Beds were firm but comfortable. Quiet. Hotel grounds are beautiful!! We wished we had a day or at least a few hours to sit around the inviting pool area. Great views of the surrounding hills. Breakfast was very good. My wife and I are vegetarian and had enough choices with the rice, beans, cheese, breads, and fresh fruits. Great coffee. Outdoor breakfast seating was also great!...
