We stayed at La Posada while in San Ramon as part of a tour group with Pickleball Costa Rica. The rooms were large but a little strange. Huge wooden headboards, a very large bathroom with a Jacuzzi. There was a large shower but the hot water ran very hot and turned very cold and went back to hot. Some of the things in the room could have been fixed, like putting a light bulb in the floor lamp. There was a floor fan in the room that had no A/C. The room cooled enough in the night to make it comfortable but a little A/C would have made the sheets feel drier with the humidity. The room was very clean and the TV worked well.||||Each room had a uniquely carved door and in the courtyard there were a lot of statues and a couple of figures that sat on a bench giving you a "Kodak moment". What we enjoyed were the tables in the courtyard where our group could gather and play games in the evening. ||||Breakfast was across the street with reception and was cooked to order. It was terrific!!||||The hotel was located near some Pickleball courts that our group used and convenient to several of the attractions that we were scheduled to see with the Pickleball...
Read more|We used San Ramon as a base for visiting several areas of the Central Valley. The La Posada Hotel is quaint but the hand carved woodwork is beautiful. The hotel strives to be environmentally conscious, and does so without troubling guests. Our room was on the end, so we had windows that could let in a breeze. Our room was very clean, had a large private bathroom, a safe, refrigerator and a big desk. The TV was large, but we never used it. The wifi worked well for us. There is someone at the desk 24 hours, and the parking is secure and free. Being right in the city was convenient. One great restaurant was immediately next door. And the location allowed us to safely walk to many establishments. The staff were so very helpful and hospitable. They retrieved an earring from the sink for us. They did our laundry and it was included in the price as we stayed at least 3 days. They provided us with everything we needed in a hotel and more. If visiting San Ramon again, I...
