Amanecer — Hotel in Santa Rosa

This small hotel is tucked away in a small neighborhood on the side of the mountains. It’s grounds are beautifully maintained, and a refuge for hundreds of birds. The staff were extremely helpful, and went out of the way to make is feel at home. They arranged a tour for us, gave us good recommendations, and even provided us the use of a guest kitchen. Clean rooms, excellent service. Great location for activities like whitewater rafting, rappelling, kayaking, volcano hikes, and more. Turrialba is close by for lots of options to eat. Highly recommend the traditional breakfast - the food is delicious, especially the fruit and coffee. Sonja and team were so welcoming and kind. Amanecer ! A lovely place ! Cute and clean themed rooms. An upstairs balcony was nice and I also enjoyed the pool. Sonia is so hospitable and helped so much with the bookings of tours and taxis.
