The place is built like an hotal but it's a B&B. The hosts are very involved in the guests wellbeing and the guests themselves have opportunities to chat with eachother.
The facility itself is beautiful with the building creating a courtyard with a garden and a pool. The rooms are very big and well equipped with towels for the pool, for the beach, umbrella, and microwave. The bed's mattress was the extremely comfy. The rooms were very clean. The big glass windows are letting in a lot of light, and make the beautiful garden visible (they have mirror glass so people can't see the inside of the room from the outside) Breakfast is not a buffet and is made and served for each guest. The beach is two minutes walk as well as a couple of restaurants in a walking distance and a few more 5 to 10 minutes by car. The only thing that we didn't like was that the washroom was not completely closed. There's an opening above the door that let some sounds and odors into the room. The shower doesn't have a door. Wasn't an issue for us but might be for others
The beach is beautiful but with a strong surf and currents so not ideal for swimming (though you can cool down by going waist high and let the waves do the rest). There's also no food or drink service on the beach
It's about 40 minutes to Manuel Antonio or Uvita so it's 80 minutes of driving each day you plan to visit. We still found it worth it as most of the hotels in Quepos are expensive and not as nice. Altogether we had a really pleasant stay and would...
Read moreWe were there from the 15th checking out the 18th of February. David is a very friendly host and runs a fine friendly establishment. This place defines muy tranquilo. The rooms are nice, basic with good AirCon, small refrigerator, a lock box with key, microwave, and a sink. Regular towels and beach towels are provided with bodywash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There is a full kitchen upstairs that in you can use except during breakfast. Breakfast costs $8 per person and not included in the room price. The pool is wonderful with nice blue lighting at night. Of course, he has a hammock too. The place is well landscaped, providing shade, with lots of birds that stop by. You are about a 5 min walk from the beach which it self is so relaxing. Your room key comes with a remote to open and close the security gate and the parking lot can hold about 6 cars. A few restaurants are nearby along with a Mini Super for your supplies. If you want a sleepy relaxing place to go to the beach, this is it. Playa Matapalo is the anti Jaco...
Read moreMy partner and I had a wonderful experience at Coco Beach Village. Tammi and Ron and their staff went far out of their way to be hospitable to us.
Here’s the kicker, we didn’t even stay at Coco Beach, we were 500m down the beach at another location. We met Tammi and Ron through my brother and his BF, who were staying at Coco Beach.
First, Tammi was a wealth of information about getting around, for local excursions, and food. She also gave the four of us a ride to Dominical just because a taxi wasn’t easily available.
Before heading out to Nauyaca Waterfalls, the two of us asked “can we buy breakfast”, Tammi refused payment and then treated us to another breakfast two days later.
To cap it all off, Tammi gave the two of us a ride to Quepos bus terminal on our return journey.
From what my brother and his Bf said, the room was clean, the linens fresh, WiFi and A/C worked 100%, and the bed was comfortable.
All in all, we couldn’t recommend Coco Beach more highly. We will definitely stay...
