Hotel Margarita was a great find. We spent one night there on our way down the OSA Peninsula and then two nights after returning, before heading back to San José. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. We paid the extra 5 colones per night for the air conditioned room - well worth it. Although not a hostel, there was a common, well-equipped kitchen. A highlight was the kindness of the owners/staff. Besides helping with some logistics, they were just incredibly warm and welcoming. We liked the location. It was a 5 -10 min walk to the restaurant/pier, and it was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle there. There is a nice outdoor sitting area, including dining table.
