We stayed at the house at Alas Glamping in July and had a fantastic time. It was a perfect stay for a family of five, with stunning views from the patio and a clean, comfortable space inside. The house was stocked with coffee, wine, beer, bottled water (all available for purchase), as well as all the cooking and kitchen utensils you'd need. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. We highly recommend ordering breakfast, which they will bring up to the rancho and serve on the outdoor table. The family who runs Alas also runs a restaurant just down the road, which was delicious. Wonderful, friendly people. If you're visiting Monteverde / Santa Elena area, this is an ideal base camp.

If you are in the mood for an atmospheric, epic, welcoming and extremely memorable bespoke experience at the cost of rubbing elbows a little with the insect population of Costa Rica, this is a paradise. This place is as beautifully crafted as you can imagine. The attention to detail is astounding. "Glamping" is accurate. The camping roots are well maintained here with the open-air kitchen and outdoor communal lounge space. Thunder storms roll by over the mountains and the sunsets are breathtaking. Do yourself a favour and visit Alas.

We could not be happier with our stay here! The owners are so kind and welcoming (it was my husband's birthday and they even surprised us at the entrance with cake and balloons), the tents are more like beautiful cabins, the views are breathtaking, and the ambiance is so peaceful. I will recommend it to all my friends (and all you strangers ;). We will be back, Alas Glamping!

Incredibly kind and caring owner, very communicative before we arrived. We booked the larger of the homes for our family of four and it was perfect. Even though we were there during a heatwave, the breezes and shade kept us cool, and the fans were more than enough at night. The views are positively breathtaking, the breakfasts that are offered (additional cost) were well worth it, and delicious! We also asked for tour recommendations in the area and we were so happy with the ones we booked! We are so happy we stayed at Alas, and we would recommend to any...
