We've stayed for a second time after a week ans the air-con haven’t been fixed yet, it seems it never works. The room was at 27C degrees when we arrived, which was unbearable. We complained to the person on duty two times within 1 hour gap to fix air con and bing an extra towel as the room was not set for 3 person as booked. After 3 hours none of that was addressed. When we complained to the new person who came on duty they sorted out the towel in 15-20min and was making excuses about air-con, that it never happened before, but we explicitly told them a week ago that air-con wasn’t working in the room during our checkout, so clearly it was a lie. Also I wasn't feeling well in general, so I was struggling with the high temperature in the room, but hotel didn’t offer any solution. The person on duty promised to call when they restart air-con system, but no call received either. Dissapointingly bad service from a 4 star hotel.
The bath tub had no glass separator so if so all water goes on the floor. Had no lotion or hair conditioner (like other 4 star hotels) just one shampoo & shower gel bottle attached to the wall.
The room wasn't deluxe at all, much smaller than in pictures and quite old. The slippers not for an adult feet and really small.
The view is to the wall and a roof full of cigarette buds. Noisy neighbourhood at night, so since no air-con you can't sleep with windows open.
The breakfast was fine, but if you go after 8am the food that is supposed to be warm is cold.
The parking was OK, but quite small, so if it is busy you will have no space.
The hotel is around 30min by tram from the city centre, so easy to reach reach by car.
The hotel advertises as VIP access on Expedia and gives a free bottle of wine, hotel refused any VIP access perks and said they don’t do that anymore. So false...
Read moreHonestly, we were not sure what to expect considering the relatively low price of the hotel. When we arrived, we were impressed from the first moment. We left the car in the free parking lot, checked in quickly and went to the enormous room with a bathroom the size of my childhood bedroom! The hotel is not located in the center of the city but the tram is right outside so getting to the center is easy. However, we were really just there to sleep during a stop on a long drive. To that end, the hotel was perfect. The beds were so comfortable, I slept better than I do at home (according to my smart watch). The shower had great pressure and although we didn't use it, the room had a jet tub. ||I noticed a few reviews with complaints about the breakfast. I don't know if they were at the same hotel. This was a super upscale breakfast that was so good, it shocked us. The hot and cold options were excellent. The variety was really impressive. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were actually sad to leave but we had to get on the road.||We will absolutely stay here again when we...
Read moreThe Hotel is located 30 minutes from Zagreb city center, and a bus/tram stop is just nearby (3 minutes walk). There is no need to use the taxi service because public transport is efficient and reliable, apart from the expensive taxi service (Public Transport 24hrs costs less than €4). The room was spacious, and it was very clean every day. The customer service was excellent, and the hotel staff did their best to accommodate our daily requests. The hotel also provides a suitable breakfast with various items to choose from, mostly local cuisine. Close to the hotel, you will find various types of restaurants that are accessible on foot. I highly recommend visiting Restoran Braca Palic, Konoda Veranda, Bistro Ruzmarin, and The Place.
I would only make one suggestion: If you are easily woken up by noise, do not choose a room whose windows face the...
