Houzzz21, Zagreb — Hotel in City of Zagreb

This is potentially the worst accommodation experience I have ever had. Because I booked an amazing flat downtown Zagreb last year, but it had no parking space and parking was difficult, I specifically booked a place this year which had parking. Or at least they said it did. When I arrived, I called the owner from the car (as I was driving), but he didn't answer, he texted me to text him. In a text message I asked him about parking and he said they do not offer parking spots, but parking on the street is free. Parking on the street would have meant parking on the pavement, blocking it, hoping for the City of Zagreb Council tow trucks not to take my car. All the neighbours warned me not to park on the street with a foreign licence plate. So I drove to the nearest actual car park, which is about a 950m upwards on the street.

They advertise the place with the photos of the suite on booking.com. That is very much not what you get. One room, very small, no kitchen. The rooms have electrical wires hanging freely from the wall. There are no blankets, just bed sheets, so I was quite cold in the night while my husband slept in a pullover. These bedsheets are torn, but clean (looking).

The whole hall area between the rooms smells like sewage. There is only one kitchen, but I guess that is located in the suite, so we never got to see it. Very misleading.

For three rooms, there is only one bathroom, this means that at least 6 people use one shower and one toilet. The shower and the toilet are in the same bathroom, so in the morning, it was a very unpleasant experience to wait for my turn to use the toilet while somebody had the shower of their life. The bathroom is covered in various hairs, the shower head and the door to the shower cabin are broken.

I'm sure that the terraced suite offers a nice view like advertised, unfortunately no view could be seen from our window. The three rooms upstairs are noisy, so I wouldn't recommend staying here with children or light sleepers.

Overall a VERY unpleasant experience, very disappointed and I would advise against staying here at all cost. The booking.com reviews are...

I would give 0 stars if I could. Writing this review to warn people to not waste their money booking this place. From first impressions the place looks okay but the closer you look, you realise how dirty and rundown it is. The kitchen equipment still had food on from previous guests, bedding had holes it in, mold in the bathroom and dust everywhere. To top it off, the hosts are also...

На booking.com вказано приватна парковка - парковка відсутня!!! Писали власнику за парковку. Власник відповідав грубо!!! Він відповів що паркування на вулиці! На вулиці залишати машину небезпечно, тому що всюди знаки, що машину заберуть евакуатором, нам довелося залишити машину далеко від дому!!! В будинку все скрипить. Наша кімната була на 2-му поверсі, по сходинках було страшно підніматися тому що вони скрипіли і хиталися! В будинку жахливий запах!!! Вентилятор у ванній кімнаті має жахливий звук, він поламаний. Ковдри немає, лише простирадла!!! Ми дуже замерзли! Ліжко і подушки незручні. Я прокинулась а в мене боліла спина. Ми хотіли розігріти собі їжу, щоб поснідати, але кухню так і не знайшли. Розетки зламані, випадають зі стін. Ми були там лише 1 ніч, ми хотіла відпочити перед довгою дорогою, але в результаті зовсім не відпочили. Не рекомендую в...
