Hotel Park — Hotel in Grad Čakovec

I stay at the Hotel Park when visiting friends who live in Cakovec [ie twice in the past month] and find that it offers EXCELLENT value for money. Having just celebrated its 50th anniversary this hotel has improved considerably over the past couple of years. It is well located within the town with good views over the park and with plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are both functional and comfortable, offering satellite TV and free WiFi as well as VERY comfortable beds and GREAT showers. There is a good cafe/bar and also a pleasant raised terrace where I have enjoyed quite a few hours with a good book accompanied by a nice glass of chilled white wine! The most improved aspect though is the breakfast service which is included in the room rate and provides guests with a wide range of both hot and cold dishes/items. I am looking forward to visiting again...

Hotel is near the centre of the town, and you can enjoy in the walk through the beautiful park on the way to the centre. ||Hotel is nice, I was accommodated in a nice three bedroom room- the only problem was that I find a few ladybug and Lucanus cervus. I think that rooms need deration as soon as possible. ||||Staff is really nice and polity. They have everything on the front desk (hairdryer etc) and can help you with sort of info. Kristina is really nice and dedicated receptionist. ||||Breakfast is a kind of buffet and you can't go out hungry - there are so many sorts of food for every taste- pancakes, various types of ham, yogurts, eggs, salads, jams, honey, flakes, dried and candied fruit, fresh fruit. It's ok for an overnight stay, but it's not a comfortable hotel. It is built and furnished in the style of the socialist regime.||||Rooms and bathroom are cramped, towels worn,carpets and all the common premises ugly. Beds ok.||What was very good: the room has a small fridge.||||Staff is unconcerned, nothing worth mentioning.||||Breakfast is is simple, poor choice, hot meals are cold and stale.||Coffee is tragic.||||The location is very convenient for visiting the old castle in the park.||||Parking is in front...
