Staying with Beri and Zora was like staying with family, as if I had long lost Croatian grandparents! Upon our arrival before we even got out of our car Beri was outside showing us where we could park. After showing us to our room he directed us to a nearby store so that we could pick up snacks and such. Even then he was outside pointing us in the right direction! We had a nice room with a lovely covered outdoor deck. The pool looked great but unfortunately we were not there long enough to make use of it. Beer, wine, and some cookies were left in our room complimentary which was such a nice touch. The breakfast was very good with fresh crepes made by Zora! Their daughter (I'm sorry I cannot remember her name) was super nice and we had a nice conversation with her the morning of our departure. ||||The location is fantastic if you are visiting Krka National Park, especially if you are going specifically for the waterfall. We were doing a whirlwind trip and only had time for the waterfall and the entrance closest to Krka Hause is the entrance closest to the waterfall. It was maybe a 5-10 minute drive. ||||Would stay again in a heart beat! Thank you Beri and Zora for your...
Read moreI visited during the first week of July with my partner, sister and partner. One of us spoke the language, which was lovely but the hosts were friendly regardless. We arrived by bus and got a little lost so called the Krka haus and they arranged transport to get us to the hotel at a reasonable price. We were then offered a lift to the park as it was late in the afternoon and very hot. Our rooms were clean and spacious and we had time to make use of the pool. The pool was so refreshing after a long afternoon at the beautiful krka National Park. We had an early night but I stayed up watching some amazing lightening outside of our window! ||The next day, we had forgotten to say we would be staying for breakfast so there was no space for us but, even so, we were given pancakes, chocolate spread and some lovely black tea. It was a wonderful trip inland and we would definitely do it again. ||Please remember that this will be a different experience than chain hotels, this is more personal, the area is quiet, lots of wildlife (we saw a snake - amazing!), beautifully tended garden and an overall cosy feel. ||The restaurant is also delicious and...
Read moreThis was a room in a house. We arrived around noon and to my surprise the hostess came outside to greet us and took us to our room – no wait for a 4pm check-in and no formal check-in. That was great as we wanted to spend all our time at Krka and not waiting for a check-in time. The hostess was very friendly but English was a struggle. Her German was much better and I speak German. The room was large with a double bed and a single bed, a table and chairs and a kitchenette with a double burner stove and sink and a bathroom. The bathroom contained a washing machine. The bathroom and shower were quite small and there was no room to place things around the sink. The main room was clean as was the bathroom, although there was mold around the shower. The house is not near a town, although around the corner, within walking distance, was a very nice bakery. The house is located approx. a 10-15 minute drive from Krka Waterfalls and the town of Skradin. Upon checkout, we simply said goodbye and left, again no formal procedure. ...
