Parking:|Arrived at 4pm, up a steep hill to the front desk and no parking was available so I went in to the front desk and asked if there was any room in the garage and they said no. We booked this hotel knowing that parking around the area was tough so right off the bat it was a disappointment. It’s not as if we were arriving in the middle of the night.||Not wheelchair - suitcase friendly - huge staircase to get to front entrance so you need to lug your suitcases up it- just not a very good way to start a vacation.||Staff: somewhat helpful, but a little bit of an attitude.||Room: we got a room with a view of the back of the hotel- yuck- no balcony. ||There was only one plug outlet in the whole room- and guess where it was? At the wall at the end of the bed- good luck charging all of your devices- you would need to bring your power bar. We ended up unplugging the TV to gain another outlet.|Shower: very small|Bar soap (we travel with our own pump soap)|Air conditioning unit wasn’t even on and beeped every 10 minutes so noisy we had to put ear plugs in. Thin walls.||Drapes - are thin white so the street light shine in all night and also we were up at 5:45AM with the sun coming in- no black out drapes - overall awful sleep even though the bed was comfy.|Pool: was packed at 5pm and no towels are offered - I noticed everyone was using their own towels from home. I suppose we could’ve use our room towels but then who knows what the service would be to get more towels so I decided not chance it. ||Beach: rocky and tiny but clear water so good to just wet.|Bring water shoes.||Dinner buffet: below average - reminded me of food in Cuba- would rather have gone out to the road to the restaurants on the beach front.|Buffet breakfast - scrambled eggs tasted like they were the ones from a bag - not freshly cracked.|Cereal options seemed to be popular.|Area: nice walking in the evening-...
Read morePositives : great location, which is a big advantage as you don't have to climb your way back to the hotel as often the case in Crikvenica good breakfast, decent service, hotel is clean
Negatives : No Wi-Fi in rooms, even though the advertisment says so. When I asked the receptionist she said it's only available in reception area. No Wi-Fi in rooms or pool area. Except for lying in the advertisment, it's 2020, not 2005. I'd expect Wi-Fi to be some basic minimum in a 3 star hotel... Lifts with very dangerous doors, without motion sensor. My wife had 2 dangerous accidents when she got nearly trapped by the doors. When doors start closing and there is something in between, they keep closing regardless. One day that will cause serious damage to someone. Then there is all the little thing that makes a difference between pleasant stay and the opposite. A/C was barely working in the room, probably not cleaned. TV remote control was very low on batteries. We received only 1 card to the doors even though 2 people were staying in it. Cleaning staff replaced our 4 towels with 2 small ones (happened 2 days in a row). Crazy prices in hotel bar. Bottle of water 2 times more expensive than in shop.
Generally quite OK place to stay, location and food is definitely big +, however the hotel is not cheap, and for that price I'd expect to receive really good service, which was not the case. A lot of little, but annoying things that differs a good hotel from...
Read moreWe spent 5 nights in this hotel with our 2 years old child at the end of August. I especially looked for a hotel where there is parkig available because of the kid and the amount of package we had to carry. When we arrived the receptionist said there is no parking space available so we should park at the street which is a mission impossible in Crotia at the beach in high season. So basically we lost a whole afternoon from our holiday running around trying to find out where we should park. After complainig to the general manager, she was very helpful and solved the problem for us, also compensating us for the inconvenience. The hotel is a very good place for couples or families with children more than 4 years old. It is hard to move aroung with a baby buggy. The breakfast is amazing much better than you expect from a 3 star hotel. The indoor and outdoor pool is very nice. There is beach access front of the hotel suitable for adults but not for small children. You have to walk quite a long way to the sandy beach. All in all this is a nice hotel but not with a...
