Hotel Villa Žarko — Hotel in Grad Kaštela

This is a delightful hotel and I highly recommend for a wonderful stay. The actual area is quite quiet and peaceful which is exactly what I was after, however, its only a short distance to Split and many other areas for day or evenings out. The local beach is ok but there are better ones a short drive away. The hotel has good parking area for those hiring a car. Outside the hotel has a really clean and beautiful pool. It is only small but perfect for cooling off if you're using this area rather than heading to the beach etc... There's also a nice terrace area for drinks throughout the day and night. For those looking to embrace some fitness whilst on holiday there is a pretty decent gym with free weights and an eclectic mix of machines and a sauna (additional cost). The hotel can also arrange for either sports or relaxing massage. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The views from some rooms are simply spectacular. There's wi-fi throughout the hotel but the area as a whole has a slow connection at busy times. ||Breakfast at the hotel is delicious, especially the eggs! ||The staff are simply amazing. The are always so helpful and friendly. They really make you feel welcome every moment you are there. The owner of the hotel is there everyday still working. His passion for the hotel and the comfort of his guests is clearly visible and quite touching. ||I would happily return her to stay again...

Pros: A laid-back, nice sized. no frills three-star hotel. Really nice and clean pool, awesome, beautiful location, right across the street to the beach in a small quiet town with lots of locals and families. Bars, restaurants and supermarket within walking distance. Kaštela (this area) is beautiful, right by the sea. 20 mins by Uber from Split and Trogir, both amazing. Rooms are comfortable, with lovely views of the sea and good air conditioning which is necessary in August here. Kid friendly place and the staff is super nice. Why Not 5 Stars: I'd give 5 stars if: the room cleaning was better - the beds were made up, new towels provided and floor swept, but clean glasses and coffee cups were not provided, instead it looked like the used glasses/cups were rinsed and placed back on the coffee tray. Also the sinks in our bathrooms were not cleaned. Restaurant only for breakfast, and no ice machine, only a reception area drinks fridge with beer, water and soft drinks for sale.

Great hotel in a fantastic location, stones throw away from the beach if you fancied a changed from the pool. There's a supermarket 10 min walk and a few food restaurants all within a 15min radius. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful which is credit to the hotel. Our room was quite big and on the ground floor 006 but some members of our party had the upper floors and they were quite small. The only thing I would change is the breakfast is quite basis and limited, there could have been a lot more choices I thought. Be careful going into the sea, there are a load of sea urchins and no warning signs placed anywhere. A few of us got stung so I would suggest wearing shoes into the water. If you are going out and about i woukd suggest using an Uber it's much cheaper travelling around, only 15min ride from tre airport and roughly 30min ride into the city of Split.
