Currently staying here and firstly it is not a 4*!
We are in the residence and whilst it does the job there are so many drawbacks. 4 days in and finally got new towels however they didn’t replace what the took so now apparently there is only 2 people in the apt not 3! Other days the bin was taken and nothing else was touched!
The main bed is fine for my two daughters. Whilst I slept on the sofa bed which was laid out for us already. The sofa bed is NOT comfortable. There were tiny tiny ants which made me feel really uncomfortable. The kitchen is basic it really needs an update.
The two little pools are really for little kids and not sufficient enough for kids with families with older kids.
The infinity pool has aqua everyday at 11 which was nice. They have a lovely pool bar lovely pool assistants. Shame there is not more as a lot of the time it was under staffed weather that be the towel guy or the girl working behind the bar.
We didn’t seem to find a problem getting a sun bed however they don’t adhere to their own rules about sun loungers being held for longer then 30 mins. We came at the end of season therefore we were able to get sun beds a bit easier. It does get busy and there is quite a few families. You can get beds at the pebble beach however you’ll have to pay 8 euros per bed even if staying at the hotel / residence.
A lot of food facilities close at 5pm. Which limits what you can have for dinner. The price you pay at the buffet is quite expensive. I don’t personally think the food was very tasty. And badly managed. My daughters and I went on for food after been sitting at our table and our drinks were there, we came back and the staff had cleared our plates and someone else was sitting there. You pay for your drinks also at dinner and not one mention to get them back. No apology. To top it off, we charged the meal to the room which we had done previously. Only to find this afternoon the waiter from last night harassing me at the pool saying I had to pay. I explain to him that I had given my room number and he shouted at me. May I add it’s my birthday I’m with my two young children my drinks were taken away and I’m being shouted out for not paying when everything had been charged to a room! I’m absolutely disgusted!
The water taxi is 3 euro per person to the town. However I was charged differently every day. I have two daughters so sometimes one didn’t have to pay sometimes they didn’t charge the other one. But adults definitely.
Like I said I prob wouldn’t come back. The views of sunset...
Read moreDo not fall for the resorts promises about restaurants, bars, sunbeds, cleaningness. They are so seriously understaffed that bars open at 10am, poolbar opens at 11am. There is no way to have a coffee before 10am, except if you brew it yourself. Restaurants that are opened are also understaffed, minimum waiting time to get the drink is at least 20 minutes. Impossible to buy ice cream inside the resort. Luckily there is a shopping place close by. As for the accomodations, they should be renewed. Constant smell of canalisation is present in bathrooms. Kitchen equipment is poor. Appartment for 5 people offers really minimum dishes. One pan and one pot. Kitchen utensils hardly exist. Pool staff doesnt care about happenings in the surrounding area. Sunbeds outside pool are all reserved before 6am and usually People that make reservations dont come to the beach before afternoon. Same story with sunbeds around the pool. Hotel has a policy that reservations are not allowed, but no one takes care of it. Instead they are browsing their facebooks and Instagrams. People stand in line for sunbeds since 8am, make a reservation and then leave. Sometimes they return to use them, and sometimes they dont. Staff doesnt care and does not remove reservations that are against their owm policy. Problems also with towel service. Usually they cant change them, they always have an excuse ready on why the fresh towels are not available. Pool area is dirty, no available trashcans. Small feet cleaning pool is an area to be avoided. Water changed only once a day should be running water tgrough all day. As a concequence entrance is always full of mud. Pool surrounding area is cleaned once a week. It should be cleaned every day. Water in salt water pool is dirty. Despite all mentioned, there is one thing about this resort that makes me...
Read moreThe location is absolutely beautiful, especially overlooking the sea with rocks to sit and swim off. The complex is an unusual mix of hotel, self catering and camping. The infinity pools is over crowded with very loud music and foot baths were empty on some days or looked fetid on others. Grounds were once beautiful I suspect but currently looking unkempt. Litter often was lying round. 2 salt water pools were nice bit were emptied twice and out of service making tger other pool busier. The self catering apartment we were in was at best a 2 star apartment. The living space was tiny and by the time the very rickety sofa bed was pulled out you cohkd nkt even walk round tge table, never-mind try to nake something in the kitchenette. The kitchenette was so tiny and cupboard units were so crooked, making the microwave on such a slant that it barely turned. This was not a fully equipped kitchen. The air-conditioning was only in the living area making the bedroom sweltering if anyone wanted any privacy and on arrival our apartment was dirty. We have been here a week ( we have 12 days here) and the sheets have still not been changed at all but they do empty the bin daily and change towels whemn you ask. Pleasant staff, just let down by poor apartment- we will ne gojmg home rested from the lovely location but covered in bruises from sticking out metal on the sofa bed and being so cramped in the apartment. The apartments are different to the hotel and they feel like lile an inferior second sadly. With a little work it coukd be a beautiful site but given the accommodation, this is more of a 2...
