Hostel Livia — Hotel in Grad Metković

Easily one of the most beautiful hostels I've stayed at in Europe. While Hostel Livia may not boast the same party atmosphere as many other Croatian hostels, it is most definitely worth a stay. |The cleanliness of the rooms, showers and toilets is outstanding and all of the beautiful staff are amazingly friendly and helpful.|Metkovic is a small town but Hostel Livia places you a short walk from the local bus stop and pretty much right in the city centre. |With some great local restaurants a short cab ride away, you should certainly drop by for a quiet visit.|I was even lucky enough to be gifted with a small bottle of beautiful local olive...

Hostel is not accurate description of the place- it can be a hostel but can be a very comfortable hotel too. There are dorm rooms but also private rooms for 2+2 and 2 with ensuite bathroom. It has a very contemporary feel even though the theme is ancient Rome. Everything is high quality finish and feels premium. On top of that there is extremely helpful and friendly staff here. The location is very central. Multiple currency exchange places within 2 minutes walk- one just next door. Supermarkets 3 mins away. Many bars and restaurants within few minutes walking range....

Me and my son came here as a beginng of a trip around Croatia and a detour in to Hercegovina. This place is centraly located in this little town of Metkovic. Close to everything from grocery stores to some bars, and the bus station is a 3 min walk from this place. |When it comes to the accommodation, the room that we stayed in (Tiberius), is very spacious with our own bathroom.
